Once, last week, I had to go through 8 or 9 cycles of clicking 'From','Delete' and 'Are you sure' to get rid of accumulated spam. That translates to 24 or 27 mouse clicks to do something I should have been able to do in 2 (or 3, if you keep imposing that time-wasting confirmation prompt). Many of us are neither beginners nor mistake-prone. The hand holding is an insufferable annoyance. Give us the equivalent of an Expert Mode!

You people at AOL (and partner in annoyance, Yahoo) have no business filtering my incoming email, and I know you do. I'm suspicious about my outgoing mail too. Even though I've trained your spam filter to my liking, My typical overall incoming volume is down noticeably. I have set up a forwarding address on a real mail server. I did this to make my email archivable in categories olf my own design, not you cell-phone, dumbed-down interface. Not all of the things left in my inbox on AOL get forwarded, even after all spam has been deleted. Somewhere, during the excessive time it takes for forwarding, A human or robot makes inexplicable, poor decisions that cause perfectly harmless items to be dropped. Quit it! Fix your intrusive, greedy policies or dissolve your business! If you cant implement reasonable decision-making policies, you're unfit to decide anything!

It is so annoying to be confronted with a confirmation prompt every single time I delete spam. I'm all grown up. Let me responsible for my own decisions. ****** proofing of any kind is intolerable unless it can be turned off permanently.

I just spent the better part of an hour chasing down the link to opt-out of the adware and profiling. They've hidden it most deviously. Once opt-out of all was selected, a very slow program began. At the end, I was told I had managed to opt out of 15 of the 134 Verizon-Oath-AOL partners in intrusion. This is on a browser-by-browser basis. Use a different browser, and you've granted implied consent to all 134. I had done this before, and was testing my hunch that cleaning out your breadcrumbs after web session wipes out your ad preferences too. Criminal in spirit! Should be criminal by law too!
