Saved drafts still contain HTML even after disabling HTML/Rich Text mode in Aol Mail's web client options. This means it is not possible to restore drafts in plain text mode when saved in plain text mode on the web client.

It's very easy to trigger this problem: just go into the mail settings and disable HTML/Rich Text mode. Compose an e-mail and save it as a draft. Now close out of the email, go into drafts, and reopen the draft--you will see that HTML code has been injected into the plain text email, making it completely unusable.

This is very bothersome for those of us who intentionally disable HTML formatting for various reasons. It means drafts cannot practically be saved in this mode without going back into the mail settings, switching back to HTML, opening the draft and copying the e-mail, switching back to plain text mode, and then continuing to work on it.
