What happened to my name, address and phone number at the end of each of my emails? And I can't find how to put it back in...
Add back where you can attach a phone or address etc to the end of each email so you don't have to type it every time...
To personalize your signature, please follow the following steps from a PC's browser at mail.aol.com:
1. Click the Settings Menu icon | select More Settings
2. Click Writing email.
2. Click the Toggle button to enable or disable a signature for your email address.
3. Enter or edit your signature in the text box

Hi there. We'd love to offer free phone support to everyone, however, free phone support is an expensive service to maintain for a free service. Most free email providers do not have any option for phone support. We care about our users, and wanted to be able to have phone support for those who want the live agent experience, and have worked hard to put together a plan that has value for everyone in order to achieve that.
The account password can be easily reset online, as long as the account holder has access to the recovery options. Our phone support team is there to verify that the person calling is the rightful owner of the account by other means of verification. I'm sorry for the inconvenience this might have caused you!

Password Reset
I find it appalling that when trying to retrieve my password online I have no options to enter in recovery information so I can do it myself, but when calling your customer service line they have recovery information to verify my ID and are unwilling to reset my password unless I pay for a subscription for customer care. This is absolute black mail! I will be using Gmail moving forward--sad since I've had my emails for 23 years now-- AOL are you so obsolete they only way you make money is to charge for tech support?!!

You can always recover your account online for free as long as you have access to your account recovery information (mobile phone number/recovery email address). Our phone support team is there to verify that you are the rightful owner of the account by other means of verification, I'm sorry for the inconvenience this might have caused you!

Trouble sending large PDF files
I am continuing to have trouble sending larger files thru AOL...why...we have been paying you our money for decades and in the last year, we continually get the message can't be sent right now try again later...why?
Hi there. The total size of the email should not be over 25MB, This includes contacts, email body content and attachments in that particular email. If you need additional assistance, you can always contact us at help.aol.com

Fix your site so our elections to not share or sell our personal information is abided by.
Your privacy dashboard does not work. Almost every day I have to go in to the dashboard and reelect my elections that I made in 2020 on the AOL site to not share or sell my personal information. Your website reverts back to allowing the sharing and selling of my information on a regular basis. No wonder we get tons of spam, because your website doesn't work and doesn't adhere to the privacy elections we have made. Since the update/upgrade?...Mail won't open.
25% of my emails won't open...message says "We couldn't load this message. Retry." Retry never works.
It remains in "New Mail". Eventually I reload the page and that mail sometimes transfers to "Recently Deleted" where it may or may not open, and sometimes the mail disappears completely never to be found on the computer. Have to now go to my iphone to find some of these mails. Horrible "Upgrade"!!! What a royal PIA!Hi, we'd like to hear more about this issue. How can i do away with varification code settings ?
Every time i go into my aol account it wants my password and varification number. i only wnt to put my password in .
To disable two-step verification and sign in with your password, you'll need to follow these steps:
1. Sign in to your Account Security page.
2. Next to "2-Step Verification," click Manage.
3. Click Turn off.

I think it's very inconvenient and a waste of time to put my emails in two different folders old and new.
The old way was new unread emails in a bold print so mixing them with others emails is not a problem. I don't like having to go back and forth between old and new folders.
Hi. You can choose to use the Unified mailbox, by going to Settings>More Settings>Viewing email>Inbox style.
If you're using the Classic AOL version, go to Options>Mail Settings>General>Inbox style>Save Settings.

I was recently hacked, changed my password, now most of my new mail is going into recently deleted

Why does AOL keep buffering ?
My email is stuttering and buffeing with a lag between my key board and on screen .
Apart from being annoying, it is impossible to use without inevitable errors due to lag.
This has happened a number of times since the new format has been introduced - is this a problem of which AOL are aware and trying to rectify ?
Hi there, Most latency issues are due to software being out of date. I would suggest trying another web browser such as Chrome or Firefox.

Being forced to leave after 20 years
I have been with AOL for over 20 years. I am going to have to leave because I can't get my email signature to work.
My work is requiring it work and your format will not accept it.

Missing sent email
My sent email does not consistently show in my sent folder. If it helps, I currently using an iPhone 11. I do have several emails in my sent folder, but about 1 out of every 3 emails I send does not show up in my sent folder. How can I correct this?

The limit for blocked addresses per account is 1000. Once you've reached it, the block option will no longer appear.

mail login loops all browsers
having issues trying to login using 2FA it loops and loops after i type in the 6 digit code from the google authentication app, i have went through every step in the help, by clearing all cookie data i have even deleted all browsing history and it makes no difference, if i hadn't ticked the stay signed in on my main pc i wouldn't be able to access my emails at all, i have tried the steps in the help zone multiple times and still loops back, my password and other recovery data is 100% correct, i needed to log…
You may have reached the daily 2FA login limit. Our best suggestion is to wait 24 hours without any login attempts, then try again.

Don't Add Words/Letters for Me
Good day,
When I am typing out an email, the computer will occasionally complete the word before I am done typing or will add words that I may type next. I know it is trying to be helpful, but it is totally distracting. Some people may like this feature, but I find it annoying. I am not saying to totally get rid of it. But maybe there can be an off option for those that don't want to use it.
