Identify phishing/scams separately from spam
Spam vs Phishing/Scams
It is often pretty easy for savvy users to tell that an item in the Inbox or Spam folder is phishing. However, we know there are many users who are more at risk of being scammed.
When deleting spam, we should be able to indicate whether an item being deleted is just spam or if it is a phishing or other security issue. Then, the AOL security team can work more quickly to prevent many of these emails from going to all your subscribers.3rd ranked -
SPAM
Just like phones scammers, etc. are spoofing email addresses and domains. I regularly delete over 100 emails a day n my Spam folder. When I go to Mail > Mail Settings > Mail Filters, I can enter a filter and select what to do with emails that contain the filter. However, there are several problems with the process.
Take for example: Filter name: McAfee From Contains McAfee and mover = Trash folder.
Issue 1 -- I don't have a trash folder, I have a spam folder If I select an email and hit the Delete button it will delete the…

keyword block
please create a keyword block (either in the email address or heading or in the subject matter that would automatically prevent email from being viewed in the spam folder or go directly to trash. This same block could be used for specific senders who change their email domain but not their name

Bring back words or phrases or senders that can be blocked in emails.
Bring back words or phrases or senders that can be blocked in emails. It worked great in previous versions. I get over 100 spam emails per day from "renter" "info" "newsletter" "admin" "contact" "no reply and"16307" to name a few. There are some legitimate emails that go to spam that I have to search through to get.

reinstate 'Empty Spam Folder' option
What happened to right-clicking the Spam icon in the left margin and having the "empty Spam Folder" option come up instead of having to go into the folder and delete entries page by page?

"we think this is spam"
Stop providing email addresses to spammers and/or improve your email security. Stop putting the "we think this is spam" banner repeatedly on incoming email from valid approved senders (this practice of yours is politically motivated and activated).

clearing spam
Just make clearing spam an 'ALL' at once option. this going page by page and having to do three clicks per page is antiquated. Quit being idiots and sell outs to commerce and give us all a break

Block option! Block option!
I had about 115 spam mails in the last 2 days and I did put them in the block list. I am also including them in this posting. I am hoping that, with the blocking, and my including the spammers, I will begin to see a reduction in the amount of spam in my folder. Thank you!

report inappropriate email option
Everyday I receive some emails with disgusting subject lines. I could give AOL and Yahoo and Apollo Global(New owners) some examples here, but I would probably be banned. My idea is to have AOL or the Yahoo servers to quit allowing these sick emails to come through to our inbox and spam folders. Then if they do get through, I would like a report button to report as inappropriate. A disgusting button would be more suitable. Report as spam begets more spam.
