I don't like the change to the spam folder which no longer shows how many pieces of mail are in the folder next to the icon like New Mail and Drafts. I use to just glance at this folder to see how many were in there now I have to open it up. I just figured this out and don't understand why you would make this change.1st ranked
People with AOL are being inundated with spam email. AOL has to do a better job blocking massive amounts of junk email.

Allow users to select a number of emails in spam folder and block them all at the same time, instead of having to block each one individually.4th ranked
Setting "only from contacts" should block ALL other senders, yet it does not. Many of us don't have time for SCAMS and Massive unwanted advertising. Even snail mail has never been this inefficient when a resident request unwanted mail to stop; otherwise a law suit can be the next message the unwanted company/scams may face. Yet, AOL Allows these criminals and does not protect the user. AOL enables constant massive overwhelming spam email. The settings need to give the user the ability to protect their mail box. Cost free, on regular mail a lock does this basic security task.6th ranked
Opening any e mail you do NOT recognize is a risk for a hack. We REALLY need this safety feature. Can you MAKE IT HAPPEN ?
Block the MASTER sites and all other SPAM mail stop.16th ranked
My AOL mailbox receives many, many unsolicited emails. I do use the AOL feature of right clicking on the unwanted emails. That allows me to send that email's address to the AOL blocking file. That file has a limit of 1,000 blocked unwanted email addresses. In just a few months I have added 751 unwanted email addresses to that file. The unwanted email addresses file will soon be full.
Please expand your AOL unwanted email address file to 3,000 or 5,000 or some unlimited number. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.18th ranked
Disable SPAM filtering. I read my e-mail via POP/IMAP and your SPAM filter intercepts MANY non-SPAM messages before I eve get to see them.21st ranked
Recently I received a spam email below.
I hope AOL could drop emails which does not have the sender address.
Otherwise, some people may actually send a lot of money to spam email senders.
And also, it is a little bit difficult to block such kind of spam emails.

Segregate more the Delete and Spam toolbar buttons, they are right next to each other and it's easy to accidentally mark something as spam when one mean to delete the message.31st ranked
AOL can stop the spam if you use a good spam blocker software. No one is managing the amout of spam users are receiving. AOL MUST STOP IT!!39th ranked

I got the AOL "mail suspended" phishing email today on my laptop. When I logged into AOL to report it as spam, it was already in the spam mailbox. If AOL had already put the email into the spam mailbox on the website, why was it forwarded to me on my laptop as a piece of good mail?39th ranked
Once I have marked a message as "Safe" that AOL "thinks is Spam", please remove the banner at the top.
AOL is showing their bias by marking a lot of my allowed messages (sender is in my contacts) as "we think this is Spam". Any message that has any sort of opinion that AOL disagrees with is flagged. There is NO WAY to remove the yellow banner marking it as "we think this is Spam" even after I click "This is Safe". Fix it, AOL, or leave my emails alone.39th ranked
I do not have a spam folder on my ipad or Mac Pro. Very frustrating as I can not check my spam. Any ideas on how to get it to display.70th ranked
Sometimes I am given the option via a pop-up window to UNSUBSCRIBE from a spammers' list. This is an awful option for AOL to suggest/offer. Why? Because if the source is untrustworthy (as so many are) an UNSUBSCRIBE tells them your email address is valid and they will keep you on other lists. These are people trying to deceive you. Why would they happily unsubscribe you from a potentially fraudulent email list? The spam folder itself is brilliant. Imperfect, but very helpful. Just leave it as is and don't try to unsubscribe from a spammers list. If you know who the sender is and you trust them, unsubscribe using the link normally provided at the bottom of the email they sent you.

I am totally dissatisfied with how AOL is handling (OR, NOT REALLY HANDLING !!) the spam issue, spme of which is sexually expletive.
There should be a quick way of blocking these people without having to open a message that you really do not want to open and copy the sender's email address to add it to the to-be-blocked list. I should be able to pick a simple BLOCK option that should work forever...
If not, I am considering changing to Gmal or Yahoo after paying AOIL for almost 20+ years for this kind of uncaring service.70th ranked
I keep getting emails in my inbox that appear to be From: ...@...aol.com. They make you look bad. They are obviously not real (you didn't really send anything; also the Received headers don't mention aol.com). So please detect them as spam!
Somebody pretending to be YOU is a very obvious special case - you do not need any improvements to your generalized spam detection to catch these.70th ranked
