AOL Email Incredibly Slow
AOL email has been incredibly slow for several weeks. Have to wait a long time for it to respond to alphabetical letters typed, opening an email, moving, closing, deleting emails and all other activities. It has become unacceptable. Tried signing out, closing and reopening aol but nothing helps.
Hi there,
Many times latency is caused by an unsupported or outdated browser. I would suggest checking your current web browser for an update.

Why do I have to get a code everytime I sign in. I don't use this device exclusively, but I use it every day. it is not a strange computer
Fix the sign in so I don't have to get a code every time I use it!! Irritating!!!
We apologize for the inconvenience, but AOL is just doing its best to protect your online safety. In case you sign in from a new device or using a new network you will be asked to verify that you are the owner of the account for security purposes. Once the device gains enough reputation you will no longer be asked to verify your login.

Website is not working as it should ( and used to ).
When trying to clean up my E-Mail it does not allow me to click on a box and go down a bunch to the last one I want to delete and the shift-click and auto fill DOES NOT WORK. It used to and now it doesn't. I went to the AOL "help site" and it does not let me ask a question or inform them of their problem unless I upgrade my service. TOTAL *** when it is an AOL problem - GEEEEEZ.
We have a solution for you, please clear your browser history, cookies and cache here’s how: https://help.aol.com/articles/clear-cookies-cache-history-and-footprints-in-your-browser
Also we recommend you to try a different browser.

log in issue related to guce.advertising.com
I am unable to log in to my AOL/Verizon webmail at work:
I try to access my webmail via this link: https://mail.aol.com/webmail-std/en-us/suite
Note: My corporate network is very slow and pages sometimes time out, but I can usually get to them by simply reloading the page.
Over the past several months, by using the link above, I would get to the log in screen, enter my email, get to the password screen and enter my password. After hitting enter, the browser "circles" for a long time, then the URL bar changes to: https://guce.advertising.com/collectIdentifiers?sessionId=1_cc-session_d250abfc-bcd0-41ec-b5ab-d9112d7df63e
AND I get an error message stating:…
We have a solution for you, please clear your browser history, cookies and cache here’s how: https://help.aol.com/articles/clear-cookies-cache-history-and-footprints-in-your-browser . If the issue persists, please disable the Ad-block and then try to log in.

Whatever this new version is it's terrible
Put back the old version of email. I didn't ask for any updates or changes. I don't want to hit page numbers to read emails from yesterday. I want to scroll through all my emails like I always did until today for some reason. Please put email back or I may have to leave AOL.
Hi there. You might be using the basic version of AOL Mail. Here's how to switch back to the standard version: https://help.aol.com/articles/switch-between-regular-and-basic-aol-mail

Mail
Support, how can I retreive all my messages for my account since I have not logged into in a long time? Thanks.
Hi. If an account is unused or dormant for 12 months, it is deactivated and its emails are deleted, more info here: https://help.aol.com/articles/reasons-aol-deactivates-or-deletes-an-account
Once emails are being purged during the inactivity period of the account, they are deleted from the servers as well. While your recent login reactivated your account, the data deleted is not recoverable.

fix the header boxes on the main page
First, please the header boxes on the main page, they spin past in a blur and I can't make heads nor tails of them. Also, please fix the main page so it remembers my location, it always defaults to NY and I do not live in NY. THANK YOU!
When you see incorrect local information (such as the news or weather for a different location) on your Welcome Screen, you may want to verify your location is correct. This can be done by making sure your correct City, State is in the top left of your Welcome Screen.
If it is not, please click “Update Your Location” under Local News and Weather, enter your Zip Code and press Save.
If this does not work, please clear your cache, cookies, and history.
Here is an article for instructions: http://aol.it/1KTJUg6
Then try adding in your Zip Code again. -
Fix the automated message PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PLEASE improve your outgoing automated message. They asked for the first 4 letters of my email address which I had to yell into the phone 5x before I was connected. Have been a loyal AOL member since 1996 or 1997 and should not have to work so hard to get to tech support. I am never late paying you for my support. Is it possible for you to change, update or just plain fix the automated message?
Hi there, I’m sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you! I will make sure to pass your feedback along to the right team. Additionally, you can contact our support team through chat, at https://help.aol.com/contact/
