report malware
Do we have a way of reporting spam/malware to you (and then, hopefully, you do something about it)? For example, I've gotten two messages today, telling me that my email is going to be canclled or whatever, and these messages are apparently coming from other AOL accounts.

Hello there,
If a user is abusing our system to send mail, we're definitely interested. Please mark these emails as spam, it will generate a report that goes to a team focused on such experiences can review and take the appropriate action. For security reasons, they'll be limited in the information they can share back, however, we're dedicated to ensuring our users don't abuse our system.
If an AOL user is sending you spam/scam emails, you can report it here: https://help.aol.com/articles/report-abuse-or-spam-on-aol
Additionally, here's how to recognize official AOL emails: https://help.aol.com/articles/identify-legitimate-aol-websites-requests-and-communications
Thank you!

To:you Details
Hello!
I'm a hacker who cracked your email and device a few months ago.
You entered a password on one of the sites you visited, and I intercepted it.
This is your password from ********@verizon.net on moment of hack: 21k9hOf course you can will change it, or already changed it.
But it doesn't matter, my malware updated it every time.Do not try to contact me or find me, it is impossible, since I sent you an email from your account.
Through your email, I uploaded malicious code to your Operation System.
I saved all of your contacts with friends, colleagues, relatives and a complete history of visits to the Internet resources.
Also I installed a Trojan on your device and long tome spying for you.You are not my only victim, I usually lock computers and ask for a ransom.
But I was struck by the sites of intimate content that you often visit.I am in shock of your fantasies! I've never seen anything like this!
So, when you had fun on piquant sites (you know what I mean!)
I made screenshot with using my program from your camera of yours device.
After that, I combined them to the content of the currently viewed site. There will be laughter when I send these photos to your contacts!
BUT I'm sure you don't want it.Therefore, I expect payment from you for my silence.
I think $868 is an acceptable price for it!Pay with Bitcoin.
My BTC wallet: 1YnYAxprVrTo1WzPPzMo86ste5Ssp4xsyIf you do not know how to do this - enter into Google "how to transfer money to a bitcoin wallet". It is not difficult.
After receiving the specified amount, all your data will be immediately destroyed automatically. My virus will also remove itself from your operating system. My Trojan have auto alert, after this email is read, I will be know it!
I give you 2 days (48 hours) to make a payment.
If this does not happen - all your contacts will get crazy shots from your dark secret life!
And so that you do not obstruct, your device will be blocked (also after 48 hours)Do not be silly!
Police or friends won't help you for sure ...p.s. I can give you advice for the future. Do not enter your passwords on unsafe sites.
I hope for your prudence.
Farewell.Reply

Cant you stop the endless messages that seem to come from AOL users saying my account is being closed, that I have requested it to be closed, that I need to agree ro some new rule etc. I currently dismiss all these messages as spam and hope I am doing the right thing!!

I have received more than one email regarding Oath and one in particularly is highly offensive. You need to see this. I cannot find a contact email address for Customer Services to forward it to.

I currently have two emails in my SPAM folder, which I have NOT opened, but they look pretty scary. It's bad enough you put non-spam stuff from places I have received email from previously, but these two should NEVER have ended up in my email at all.
From "Your Secret Life"...what part I can read:
"Hello! I an a member of an international hacker group. As you could probably have guessed your account route... was hacked...".
The second one:
"Hi dear user of verizon.net We have installed one RAT software into you device. For this moment your email your email account is hacked. (see on <fro...)".
What is going on and why were these allowed anywhere near, let alone "in" my email? Thank you...

I have received an odd E Mail that seems to be suggesting I've applied for a new AOL account, when I definitely haven't. I have a screenshot of the opened E Mail. This could easily be a security breach of some kind, or an attempt at bypassing security. I'd like you to see the E Mail, as it looked when opened, but there is no facility to do this, here. What should I do?

Received message in SPAM that my account will be closed. I didn't open it, however, am wondering if this notification truly came from AOL and if so, why my account would be closed.

Today I received a "fishing" email. Unfortunately, I clicked on a link inside the email supposedly addressed to LTD Commodities regarding a PayPal withdrawal. I called LTD Commodities, and their Rep informed me that there had been other reports. I was told to forward the email to spoof@paypal.com, delete the email, delete the delete, change my passwords and to report this incident to AOL. Question: How /where do I report to AOL? AOL needs a "fishing" Help Category.
