My aol mail stopped working in a 3rd party consolidation app, citing settings - gmail, hotmail, outlooketc still work
Aol stopped working in my blackberry hub + services - "can't authenticate, check settings (in AOL) and try again" All my other emails work, the app doesn't integrate either. Please put specific directions in help for settings to allow my aol mail to work again. The App for android is untenable - no flexibility at all for intra-device organization, cumbersome GUI.

Absolutely agree. It is impossible to fix.
I cannot use the aol app on my desktop, so I have to log out of one aol account to access email in another.
I use the app on my iphone but it is inferior in every way to outlook etc.
I have used aol addresses only for over 20 years but regretfully may well need to abandon aol completely unless this is fixed. -

On the Gmail App AOL WILL NOT Connect. People this is ridiculous I already get teased about using an old aol account and maybe I shouldn't maybe no one should if you can't keep it working. You removed what I liked best which was the ability to block incoming mail by a simple word.

I have the same problem with my AOL mail not working on outlook 2016. I tried the repair option within outlook, but I continue to get the error message (can not connect to AOL server).
can you please tell us if this temporary issue or that how it will be.
Anyone who found a fix, please let us know.

THIS worked on all devices outlook 2016,outlook 365, and IPhone. Ipad had AOL.COM in account types and brought me to the web login which I used my normal password. I selected the actual devices and or apps I was using and it works great.

Options > Account Info > Account Security > Manage app passwords > Select your app > Other app > Type name of app (I used "Gmail" and "Windows Mail") > Generate
Use the given code as password. -

Please do note that AOL can not sync to third party mailbox app including windows 10 mail app as well as MS Outlook. Please do fix it as soon as possible!!!!

On March 15,2021 my AOL email stopped working on both my Kindle and my Tracfone.
I get "authentication" and "credentialing" error messages, My PC is OK. (But I suddenly
need to keep an extra tab open to click between to get the emails to appear on the AOL tab.)

My Windows 10 Mail client AND my iphone mail client both stopped working around Mar 25th. I've tried everything I know how. Delete / re-add account. Make sure account settings for IMAP are accurate. Turned off firewalls on my laptop, etc. Nothing fixes this. Obviously AOL is not interested in fixing this problem. Oh, but ironically it works just FINE in the AOL mail app (which I just downloaded and setup). My theory is they've done something to purposely break third-party mail apps, or make it incredibly difficult to figure out, to force you to use their mail app

I have similar issue. Outlook on desktop, two other AOL accounts are working just fine. Only my most important AOL account is not working. Outlook and Android phone mail apps all giving server error reports. Works fine with AOL app, as if I need another stupid app on my phone with all it's **** ware. -
