Is there anywhere in settings to change how emails are deleted?? I have 50K+ emails to delete because I can't figure out an efficient way to delete them. Please fix!!!

The delete spam all at once option seems to have gone away recently when I installed updates. The selection bar next to spam does not have a delete symbol since.

I delete emails but they come back later. I assume it is when AOL has a system failure and must reboot. Once a month I try to set aside several hours to delete the returned ones. Why??

I can't delete them either. Checked boxes and all.

You can delete the entire folder's content via the Manage Folders.
AOL needs to be deleted since they don't seem to care enough to respond or fix any of the problems with their "product"/"service".
Pretty sad that they don't even offer the same features and options that most other major services have - example: Filter messages. Which allows you to not only write a filter to do things but search for emails based on some value in the email.

There should be a setting that when an email has been downloaded to another service like Outlook it gets deleted from the inbox of AOL. Another setting should be how long to retain deleted messages so that after a chosen time period the trash messages are deleted permanently. It would clear up a lot of space on your servers and make for an easier way to check current emails. Same thing goes for SPAM. After a chosen period of time the spam messages get trashed. You need to do this ASAP!

Is there a way to restore deleted emails that are from 2 months ago? aol only lets you restore a for 8 days.

And trying to tick the delete box (next door to flag) is the MOST stupid idea ever

What good is gathering feedback if there is no response?!
Has anyone received an answer to your inquiries?
I wish we had access to emojis and I, along with everyone else, would like to be able to delete emails more efficiently.

AOL, you need to make deleting emails easy. Having to click every box to delete an email is too time consuming. You need to make it where we can just highlight all the ones we don't want to read and then hit delete like we can do on Outlook. I have 170732 emails, most of which I will never read. I would like to be able to delete the ones I don't want to read at one time and not have to click a box to do it. Making it so we can highlight a bunch at one time like you can do on outlook would be so much easier!

A year or two ago, you changed the ability for one to SORT the FROM column. Can't imagine the necessity to do that! When one sorts by FROM, I can check a bunch at one time and hit DELETE. This saves SO much time. Maybe you did that so we couldn't sort all the ads and delete at one time but it is VERY annoying! PLEASE give us this option again. I have been a member for approx. 25 years!!

for deleting, it would be helpful to bring back the 'size' indicator on each email so I could focus on just deleting the huge files and not waste time on all the tiny ones that don't take up much space. AOL: i'm trying to help you reduce your disk space requirements!

Go back to the old way to "bulk delete" all Recently deleted Emails. I do not want to waste time deleting each individual email the the "Recently deleted Folder".
Need to stream line Not add more work.

I have 25,000, gotta be a better way to delete emails, why do we have to delete every page TWICE? If i mark it to delete once as I did with a lot of old emails, it went to the next page, now I have to delete it twice????? This is crazy and very time consuming.....

I need to delete my emails too and I checked the AOL help and it says to check the boxes next to the emails and select the delete icon but I don't see the delete icon anywhere(!) so frustrating.

Checkmark (select) the email at the top of your emails you want to delete. Then, press and hold the "shift" button and checkmark (select) the email at the bottom of your emails you want to delete. This should checkmark all emails you want to delete. Then, click your trash can button to delete. It could take several minutes for 50K emails to delete. Otherwise, select a few hundred at at time.

I have 18,000 emails dating back for years. I used to have a sort function to assist in cleaning/clearing emails. It seems to have disappeared.
