This is out of control, where are the SPAM filters from AOL?? I received hundreds of emails a day with the most obvious spam names and BS and AOL keeps letting these emails reach my folders...LOOKS LIKE AOL IS A SPAM FACTORY !!

In the last few days, the AOL spam filter has become much more aggressive, routinely filtering emails from people in my address book, people replying to me and other important emails. How can one change the spam settings?

I consider EVERY email I receive to be important until I PERSONALLY decide it is not. I DO NOT USE YOUR WEBMAIL INTERFACE AT ALL. I USE EMAIL APPLICATIONS ON MY COMPUTERS (yes multiple computers) as well as my phone. I have been unemployed since APRIL 2020 due to COVID and your spam filter is directly responsible for my NOT RECEIVING IMPORTANT EMAILS THAT LIKELY WOULD HAVE LED TO EMPLOYMENT.
IT IS MY EMAIL _ LET ME DECIDE IF IT JUNK!

AOL.mail also commonly blocks "Activation Emails" from cheap websites (probably made by weak coders). What I mean is, whenever you sign up for a free account on ANY Website, you will be asked to verify your email by responding to an Activation Email. I'm speaking of the types of free account that you would use for a website like www.IMDB.com.
Usually when you try to register with them, they ask you to check your email box for an "Activation Email."
Try it.... very often you will never get that email.
Sometimes it works..... but only like 30% of the time.
However, chances are: that activation email will never make it to your AOL email address.
This is not a fluke.
It happens nearly 60-75% of the time when you need to respond to an activation email.
Why don't I just use a different email for receiving account activation email messages? Because once you have submitted your great new idea for a Screen Name..... it's now attached to the email that I initially chose.
Most often, this glitch causes you to lose the cool new screen name that you just thought-up.
My advice is:
Probably use Gmail.

Why won't my spam folder show any of the emails?

Why AOL spam filter blocks my own email with «Authentication-Results: … dkim=pass …; spf=pass …; dmarc=pass …;» header?
Fully agree. AOL Spam filter consistently blocks email from my own work address - it desperately needs to be turned off like you used to be able to, or at the very least a WHITELIST option - all you can do is blacklist stuff.

I have missed many important emails due to getting eaten by your spam filter. You have a constant stream of requests to allow your dysfunctional filter to be turned off. You consistently just ignore us. Why will you not allow it to be turned off? It makes no sense at all to me!
