AOL has stopped updating on our iPhones - (My iPhone 12 and my wifes iPhone 8. Need to address this issue-AOL working fine on our computers

In the link you mention there is no such choise - Allow apps that use less secure sign-in
Now I see a possibility to define password for applicaitons taht are accessing.
I have generated password for outlook desktop. and tried to add my aol mail accont with this passord and it did not work. can you explain what to do?

The onscreen email folder indicates I need to fix.. have tried several times without any luck.
