Community Guidelines
I am not surprised at all. I know what to expect. The Left can post insulting comments, disparaging phrases. But if I even type Hunter Biden's name, it gets rejected for not meeting "community standards." They do that kind of thing in China and North Korea. If that doesn't make other social platforms more appealing and a better tenant of FREE SPEECH, I don't know what does.

Images and some comments will be flagged in our system prior to becoming public. Here are some reasons why your comments may be flagged: - Language (Examples may include: all caps, inappropriate words, etc.) - Suspicious IP - Any Image In order to create the best possible experience for everyone, we request that you abide by the AOL Community Guidelines, our core code of conduct, in all of your activities on AOL Services. For more information, please view our community guidelines: https://legal.yahoo.com/us/en/yahoo/guidelines/index.html

You sites need to reviewed by a special counsel for the US government. You are not doing your censoring correctly.

To have AOL censor team to be aware that they are huge ******** for rejecting legit comments. Why did I receive a ''reject'' for posting ''???""

I admit I do tend to post things that others find objectionable and sometimes have violated the standards, but not all the time. So why do all my posts get flushed? When did "Hi" become hate speech? Or "Yeah"? I have tried posting these many times just to see and guess what happens.

I post the word "Hi" and it is rejected for violating standards. Can you explain how a greeting violates standards or are you going to admit you just block me from posting anything?

Dear Sirs,
for the second time in four weeks, today I have not been able to post a comment.
I complained the last time and suddenly, yesterday I could post comments. I did post a few, but I cannot
imagine how any of them could possibly have infringed your Terms and Conditions - or whatever you
call your Censorship these days. For about two hours yesterday, I could participate in the Forums, but
today, that right has again been withdrawn. Please do let me know what it is that I have supposed to have done wrong so that I can ensure that
I avoid being so evil in the future. My only other solution is simply to remove myself totally from AOL
which would be a pity since I have been loyal to AOL for more than 30 years and have never ever set
out to offend anyone nor have I ever acted as a Troll. The fact that I use my original French ancestral
name should inform you that I have a serious and mature nature - being in my late 70's - so having
recently been criticised for having a "stupid name" by somebody using the name Terry 1 and then
retorting to him that his name suggested chocolate, to which he replied my answer was a "THINLY
VEILED RACIST REMARK" which it was not because, firstly that was not my intention and secondly
Terry Chocolate manufactures: Dark Chocolate, Milk Chocolate and White Chocolate. He also told me he
was going to report me, so if this present situation has anything to do with that incident about three weeks
ago, please also investigate how and why he should have been insulting about my French ancestor, who, for
your information, was a Steward for William the Conqueror in 1088, has 18 families in the UK descended
from him, and his name also led to the development and use of the word Thesaurus. One final comment on racism. I have worked in 20 countries around the world and have made friends in all
of them. I am not and have never been racist, although I have experienced it myself in other countries therefore
it is something I would never do to anybody. However, I will react when I come across people whom I find to
be distasteful, but this inevitably is based upon the way that they relate and behave with me. I will be nice and
polite to anybody, regardless of their ethnicity, provided they treat me in a similar manner.I look forward to getting your reply as soon as possible because I do not feel that a loyal customer of AOL
who has never suffered any problems until recently, should be treated in this way. Its almost as if you simply
would prefer customers such as myself, should merely move their business over to gmail. I already do
have a gmail account, so I can do that if you merely wish me to cancel the direct debits you earn money
from on a monthly basis.Regards
DThesorie (David Treasurer)

Is this communist run site. Freedom of Speech is being violated on both sides. I've been blocked for 6 months now and not violating your guidelines. Why????? I thought we lived in a free country and free speech is a basic right.

AOL is censoring criticism of the Biden administration. STOP IT. Comments are held for review or rejected for no other reason than criticism of Biden and Harris. My comments do NOT contain profanity, vulgarity or threats yet when I criticize his/her actions my comments are often delayed. Yet you ALLOW profanity/vulgarity if it is directed at Trump (there are some mighty vile things that you allow to be posted about him, AOL). Stop suppressing discussion as if we live in a Communist Country. You are still AMERICA on line, yes?

Some of us got censored awhile ago and now can't make any comments. But the comments I'd like to make for articles do not violate any community guidelines, so please end your censorship of us!

I'm not being allowed to make any comments! When I try to respond to anything, my comment gets erased, with a statement that it doesn't fit community guidelines. I looked at the six guidelines and my comments don't have anything to do with them! Please fix whatever's going on so I can comment. Btw, my email is sfrobink@aol.com, not aim.com! That should get fixed too!

I'm am soon to be 63.
I've had AOL since I was 45. THAT's part of my email address. With ALL of the comments I've read over the years, ESPECIALLY when trump was in office, AOL decided to ban me from commenting on some of trump's "lunacy" while he was in office. I never used profanity, I admit I (along with a few others) have been critical of trump's selfishness. Apparently MY ban started sometime in 2020 and remains in effect to this day. WHY?
What I wrote and what continues to be commented on to this day, would mean that perhaps the comments should be shut down all together. So does it suit AOL only when the comments are all sugar and saccharine? A HUGE double standard here. -

Comments though not attacking anybody are being blocked claiming guidelines violation. Does freedom of speech not exist anymore with AOL

Hi. I am not able to post to the community. Every post of mine gets rejected although not offensive. I am also not able to update my profile since most fields in it are not editable. Can you fix this?

Does anyone else find it funny that if you post a liberal idea that has questionable rhetoric in it, it will be allowed to be posted. If you on the other hand post anything against the current administration or their views you get black listed. AOL has continually made it almost impossible for me to post. When I go to post it says I need to sign up to post, if it let's me post when I go to read feedback it says my post was deleted, but you can manually search for and find it. And after I post something they white my page out after I click send trying to make me think I didn't send it. All of this would be fine except they never told me I was violating any terms nor told what terms I violated or that I was even being blocked, very sneaky and a total disservice to an almost 20 year user, whom has never been flagged or reported for any hate speech or harassment. AOL is a biased site that only allows what they want period, just wish they would openly communicate it instead of being sneaky and cowardly about it.

You say that I don't follow community guidelines, when all I say is "hi" or that "I loved Betty white" and I still get blocked, Why? This has been going on for months.
