AOL stopped working with Outlook yesterday
Stop forcing users since 1993 to use web mail, reinstate outlook interface.

Stopped receiving emails a couple of days ago, despite sending tests from another account. If you want to lose a loyal customer of 27 years, just say so

No longer working with verizon.net. Can you at least make some announcements of changes rather than just flip a switch!!!

Same problem with verizon.net login. We have 2 accounts; one stopped working some time ago, but second still OK until recently. I will have to forward that account also to my gmail address.
Also, the verizon account had been hacked so I changed login password.

Yes or no, do you even care if you loose your AOL people who use outlook to access and view attachments? It really doesn't matter I'm leaving after over 20 years with AOL.
JOE BRAY commented
now I cannot open attachments even in WEBMAIL..

I've been a AOL email customer since the early '90's. Earlier this year, Outlook stopped synching with AOL. Since then, in spare time, i have tried to fix this problem - deleting the account on Outlook, reinstalling, searching online for solutions through Microsoft, etc.
But running webmail next to Outlook was only a short term solution. having one's email account separate from Outlook's calendar and contacts makes simple things difficult (accepting a meeting invitation, putting it on your calendar? receiving a contact file? One stop email search?
Since there is no solution forthcoming, I will have to choose. Outlook's ubiquity and superior ease of use makes the choice Outlook.
If this is an attempt to eliminate long term customers who still use AOL for personal mail, YOU ARE SUCCEEDING!

I have had Verizon since I moved to Florida in 2007 until Frontier took over. Then I was forced to use AOL webmail, who does NOT offer free tech support for email.
I am paying $74.38/month and can no longer get my email on my Windows Live Mail program on my PCs. All the settings are correct. Neither Frontier or AOL will help me remedy this.
Verizon dumps me, buys out my alternate email on Yahoo. And I just saw I can get my FRONTIER email (which I don't have, as I was told I could keep my Verizon) on Yahoo!
What happened to my Verizon email on a Verizon-owned Yahoo?
More surprises! AOL and Yahoo joined 6-17! So Verizon/Frontier/AOL/Yahoo is now all one! SO WHY AREN'T YOU CATERING TO YOUR CUSTOMERS?
Am I doomed to use a web-based email? I already have Yahoo. Verizon is supposed to be on my PCs so I can access them without internet if I have to.
I am NOT a satisfied long-term customer!!!

Same issue - I have been using AOL since the 1990's. The email address is everywhere. It worked fine with Outlook until May of 2021. I have tried several times to reinstall, have spent hours trying to find a fix, Nothing works. Are you going after people who use the free service?

I am truly ****** that I can't pull up my emails on Outlook on my home computer and also with Safari on my phone. Having to log in to mail.aol.com is a pain **********! I can see am not alone. How about taking care of your long time users?

This is silly I've had a AOL account forever and suddenly can't use Outlook 365. Using aol on the web is a pain and refuse to use it.
COLIN M COOPER commented
Yet again my AOL will NOT synch with Outlook 365. Your system has turned to a pool of **** since Verizon took over the accounts. Maybe the American Public will lie back and let you shaft them but personally I am canceling my account as find this totally unacceptable despite having been a customer continuosly since system opening as Compuserve!

Very disappointed that I can not sync my aol with outlook. I am contemplating deleteing my aol account and I have been a aol user for over 20 years.

Same here. My Verizon email accounts are no longer working with Outlook email client or any third-party email client. It's an AOL technical issue. AOL needs to investigate this issue as it seems to be their email servers. This started on Aug. 5th from my end as well. What's going on here?
