Spam icon not showing number of pieces in folder
I don't like the change to the spam folder which no longer shows how many pieces of mail are in the folder next to the icon like New Mail and Drafts. I use to just glance at this folder to see how many were in there now I have to open it up. I just figured this out and don't understand why you would make this change.

why does the Spam Folder no longer indicate the number of spam emails it contains? This would show in the past like the new and the old but no longer. This triggered me to make sure to either check it or delete those files if I saw some were in there. But no longer shows the # of emails that are considered spam so I must remember daily to clean it out

for some reason, spam folder doesn't show spam in it anymore, when you open up the folder there is spam e-mail to delete or save....can't we go back to the way it was????

Bring back the number of emails shown in SPAM icon folder. Why would an important feature that worked for us users disappear?

Stop putting emails from my approved contact list in spam. Return the spam count in the menu.

Your decision to merge my previous topic with a different one is completely hopeless!
[It's true that too many emails are now diverted into the Spam folder, but that for me is a secondary topic.]
The CRITICAL PRIMARY topic is that your user interface no longer indicates clearly whether the Spam folder is Empty or Non-Empty. If you don't want to display how many 'Spam' emails are in this folder, PLEASE adopt a DIFFERENT display convention. For example "Spam YES" or "Spam NO" would be infinitely better than "Spam", which is equally likely to mean Empty Folder, or Non-Empty Folder (and guarantees that important Non Spam messages can very easily be overlooked)! -

Some months ago the number of Spam emails shown in red that I had in my Spam folder disappeared. The number of emails still shows for New Mail and Drafts in red. Having the number of Spam emails showing on the screen is helpful to me, and I hope that feature will return in the future.

You used to show the number of emails in my spam folder. Now you do not, so I was surprised to discover there were over 50 in the folder. I shouldn't have to open the folder every time to check it. Put the number back!

I missed a message I had been waiting for because of this. It was embarrassing.

My SPAM folder does NOT show the number of unread messages like it has for years. It doesn't show ZERO - it's blank. In fact, there are 289. Please fix it?

Can you please put the number box next to the SPAM folder to remind us there are things in there. I forget about it and then there are TONS of emails in there that I have to search thru when I can't find an email that was emailed to me !
Thanks! -

I liked the old way that spam was displayed. You could see the count without opening the folder

Please restore the number after the SPAM folder, like with the inbox, so we know to check spam for emails that inadvertently routed there.

You used to show me a number over the spam trash can. When I saw the number it alerted me to look at the spam folder and either take something out or empty the folder. Now that the number isn't there I forget and when I remember to look there are literally a couple hundred emails. How can I get the number indicator back?

Spam folder no longer shows the number of unread emails. The number indicator used to show to the right of the Spam icon. Bring back the number indicator.

AOL removed the counter, we learned to keep an eye for any falling into spam, but I am human and forgot - this led to very poor response times.
Please, this cannot be a major issue, put the counter flag back. -

I agree, count of spam should be turned back on
