Spam icon not showing number of pieces in folder
I don't like the change to the spam folder which no longer shows how many pieces of mail are in the folder next to the icon like New Mail and Drafts. I use to just glance at this folder to see how many were in there now I have to open it up. I just figured this out and don't understand why you would make this change.

WTF? Why the change of the SPAM folder now showing any e-mails. Next, is AOL going to do the same to the incoming NEW MAIL folder??????????? FIX IT!

Unread message counter in SPAM folder stopped working for me in early October 2021. I contact Support via CHAT -- Tech wrote it was a "new feature" then said it was a new "update." Regardless of whether "feature" or "update", I would like the function returned, please.

How do I fix this spam total problem?

Glad to see that it's not just my Spam folder not showing the numerical count. I don't like change....and that should be obvious by my keeping an antiquated, outdated AOL email address. Hahaha!

The removal of the counter for spam is ridiculous! What harm did it do and why was it removed! STUPID!

I totally agree with everyone else's comments! I do not like the removal of the count next to the SPAM icon. I thought, as did others, I was getting no SPAM. What a surprise...it's right there in the folder but there is no longer a count.
Please put it back!

what happened to spam option

It wasn't broken - why did AOL change it? Makes no sense, whatsoever

I would also like this option back to nudge me to check the folder. I keep my spam folder cleaned out to make sure legit mail isn't sent there. When I don't see the number, I forget, and then when I do check, there are pages of spam messages.

I think it is just part of their attempt to fix the basic problem. They evidently either cannot - or will not - get rid of all that spam that is coming in. Whoever is doing it can obviously bypass the controls that have been available by listing each one , or blocking everyone not on your contact list. I have set mine, but still they come.

Agree 100%. It was a great feature to ensure nothing incorrectly was placed in the folder. Why they'd change this is beyond me.

Mine too has stopped displaying the number of spam emails since I noticed it on October 5th. I thought I ididn't have any and thought that was weird because every day there are at least a dozen or more. Checked the folder and was surprised to find it loaded with spam! Now I have to check it every time I log in to see if any has accumulated. I even changed my password two days ago hoping it would stop the huge amounts that are appearing every day. Had 99 in one day and my roommate had 900 in one day in his email! What is going on??

Very displeased with the change that has eliminated the message count for the SPAM folder! Please set it back the way it was originally.
