Problems with Thunderbird, Outlook and other mail clients
I can see my mail on AOL.com/inbox, but what broke POP3 email fetching for verizon.net addresses? Please check on this and fix it if possible.

Some genius in your company has decided to make AOL "Unaddable" to Outook 365. I've had your email address for around 30 years. It['s really cheesy and I feel like you don't want me to use your product.

I found a solution to this problem. I switched back to POP from IMAP. Everything seems to be back to normal, for the time being anyway. Apparently the "experts" you get to speak to once you pay for support don't have a clue about what's going on.

The exact same thing happened to me. I too am running MacOS 10.11.6. I spent considerable time on the phone today with 3 different live help agents. They basically threw their hands up and said there must be something corrupted in my Mail application. I disproved their theory by taking my system drive back to a date prior to the onset of the problem and the result was the same. The issue is on AOL's end!

You seem to have disabled Apple (10.11.6) Mail 'Get Mail' function on 01 Sep 22, AM. It was working on 31 Aug 22, PM, but now it is no more. I can still 'Send' but not receive.

A few weeks ago my AOL mail stopped syncing with my Microsoft Outlook App on my iPhone. Already created an app password (also recreated it) and suddenly it stopped working.
Anyone from AOL support team could check this and provide some feedback?
Thanks, -

Mu Outlook was working fine. Two days ago it stopped working. I removed the account and added it back and still no good. Now AOL wants me to pay for support. It's a scam

When I send an e-mail to my jjjhixon@verizon.net e-mail account, from the AOL client. I get a message that it can't be delivered! I trust AOL is working on this and will fix it! Here is the message I get:
To jjjhixon@verizon.net
Sorry, we were unable to deliver your message to the following address.<jjjhixon@verizon.net>:
Unable to deliver message after multiple retries, giving up.What the heck is going on? Our verizon e-mail account is tied to many things we need. This has to be fixed ASAP. Plus: AOL is *not* forwarding our verizon e-mail to gmail, even though we set that up.

Very often, when I try to clean out the spam folder, the Thunderbird times out and then AOL disconnects. This is a waste of my time.
This happens only with my AOL account, not with my G-mail account (also on T-bird).

Occasionally I cannot send messages out (even to recipients already in my address book). This happens only when there are multiple recipients. Other times, I cannot send to a recipient I know well, but whose e-mail address your automated system has flagged as a spammer.
These are important messages, and on these occasions I am forced to use G-mail instead.
FYI, I use Thunderbird, and it works well otherwise. -

Excuse me,
I've CONFIRMED set up a third-party app password, POP(or IMAP) ,and SMTP configuration CORRECTLY (protocol domains, ports used, and SSL/TLS enabled are all exactly) with my account to login. However, it always returns the following errors while trying to login on Outlook Desktop client (Outlook 2019) at Windows 10:
--
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes of this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.
--
Outlook is unable to connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact the server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).

P.S. the above settings are working fine on my Android and iPhone built-in mail Apps with IMAP/SMTP Protocol. -

I had to change my password in AOL, now that password is being rejected in Windows Live mail. I have removed the account and added it back multiple times to no avail. I can log in via the internet just fine and access on my phone works just fine with the new password. The only place that rejects the new password is Windows Live mail, which is my most important place to keep, organize and access emails. Every other platform is too cumbersome for email organization. I love Windows Live Mail. What the heck is wrong, that it won't access your server with my new password????
