3rd party email
I cannot vote up other comments for some reason so I am writing my own. This 3rd party email app password is a horrible idea. I never wanted to be an AOL user and I feel betrayed by Verizon. I have been using Outlook as a mail client for many years and now, I must use YOUR password, a password YOU control, rather than my own. I feel this is less secure for me. At the very least you should make this an option and allow your customers to assume any risk of using their existing passwords with email clients.
There is no value in your password mechanism from a security standpoint. But I do wonder if you are using this inconvenient mechanism to push people towards your email app. That would be unfortunate

I completely agree! This is bullshit that I cannot use a 3rd party app for my email. Verizon I pay for a service and I expect that service. I will cancel my internet based on this nonsense!!!!
