I wanted to generate a third party app password but "Sorry, this feature is not available right now!"
Am I doing something wrong? Do I have to wait until the feature becomes available? How long do I have to wait?

Impossible to sync AOL Mail to Win 11 Mail. Your "password generator" keeps saying the function isn't available. WHEN will it become available?

fix the password generator or turn off its requirement! the previous posts have a quick apology and then the comments turned off. they score high on your own voting system and nothing is being done. ive personally been a customer for nearly 20 years and im sure there is those who have been longer! you cant allow people to build such a dependency on something over that amount of time and just stick two finger up to them! Add a setting to turn off the requirement, even an extra tick box so we acknowledge the security edit we cant use, but stop this complete abandonments of users!!

I used the old AOL desktop with great success until it was removed. I then use Outlook to manage my AOL e-mails. It was not so sharp as my work e-mail in Outlook as AOL seems to bypass some to its features. However, I have had to have my PC rebuilt with the operating system and Office newley loaded and AOL won't let me use Outlook, the AOL help desk has told me so. To get round this, after using AOL since the mid 1990s, I have just set up a Gmail account and am using that it Outlook.
Make it easier to use AOL in Outlook and reprogramme your help desk people to guide people where they want to go. It cannot be rocket science to use Outlook for AOL mail.

Outlook Email will receive emails. Yet I can't not send emails. I also can't generate a new password because the password generator does not work. Even tried the suggested iPhone approach to generate a password. Got the same error message as on my PC. You would think AOL could fix this. But maybe they do like MS OUTLOOK users. Because it is strange where it seems like I must generate a new password every three to four months to enable Outlook. Why is that. I have OUTLOOK setup as an IMAP account.

Still not working. Associate said this morning it has only been two to three weeks for the problem. Based on posts, I can see that is not true. Be more honest, aol.

Please message Apollo Global Management and stick it to them on linkedin and twitter, as they certainly are not interested in supporting our EMail accounts for free.

Took this one to Twitter, hopefully with enough bad press they might realize the damage they're doing to us and themselves.
In the meanwhile, I'm trying to wean myself off AOL (Compuserve actually). It's been some 25 years, not a pleasant experience. As of November 1, 2022 it appears to be back in service. Outlook was able to retrieve emails dating back to October 17.

When will app passwords be back available? I have several email accounts so I use a single client for all of them. My Netscape (AOL) account is my most used account and it is a huge pain to not be able to not be able to access it via the same third party email client I use for my five other email accounts.
