When blocking email senders, I should be able to use blanket wild card sylbols like and asterisk to block all emails which start that way.
PLEASE allow us to block emails from a sender which starts with a single word, like Admin, since spammers use that under 100s of addresses after @. I should be allowed to block all emails which start with Admin.

Totally agree. Specifically Zoqloq emails at the moment. Others will eventually follow their MO. We need the ability to block with wildcards or something even better. Tried emailing AOL/Yahoo regarding this but all emails bounce back. That needs to be fixed as well. BROKEN!

This is CRITICAL. Users should be able to turn off this broken, over-zealous spam filter, and also NOT "complain" about spam automatically, which will sometimes remove them from mailing lists they manually joined. This is *broken*.

Being a free mail service, I can only imagine that addressing this widespread problem is simply not cost effective for AOL. I am experiencing as most other users here, receiving 15-25 spam messages per day from the two originators cited.

ATTENTION to all who are complaining about this spam issue -
send your complaints to: tosgeneral@aol.com - at least they responded to my complaint, even though they had nothing new to offer with regard to solutions that haven't already been mentioned below. Maybe a slew of complaints to that email address will be better than complaining here, which is doing nothing.

I also get 20s of spams every day from emails matching the pattern "*@zoqloq.com", or "*@zoqloq?.com", or "*@offer??-zoqloq.com" (where * and ? stand for random numbers). This has also been heavily reported here: https://aol.uservoice.com/forums/908090-aol-desktop-gold?category_id=335683
Please do something ! Allow us to define wildcard on email filtering settings (or handle the blocking yourself)... Current status is terrible for the customer satisfaction, and it's like this since weeks.

Received a response from tosgeneral@aol.com that merely advised on using Mail Filters. I responded that the Mail Filter for 'addtomycartnow' seems to be working, but not the one for 'zoqloq'. Have not received another response from them. At least one is 'gone' for now.

Seems like majority of us are being spam bombed by zoqloq and addtocartnow. I have tried to filter and block these spammers but the filter DOES NOT WORK and blocking is impossible because tese 2 spammers are constanfly changing a digit or something every day to change their email address. AOL HELLOOOOO TESTING TESTING TESTINg 1 2 3 can't we get some help here. I've been a user since the 90s (yup) and this year has been the all time winner for SPAM

Sadly, I'm having to change email providers after over 20 years of being a user. Recently I've been receiving an inordinate of 'Spam'. Tried to use Block Settings and Filter Settings with little success.
Pretty pathetic that AOL are unable to get a grip of this situation. -

Where is the AOL response to these Concerns or do they care. I'm sick of receiving these spam e-mailS from 114974542@addtocartnow-23362.co.uk with numerous different numbers.

I have received 349 spam messages ending in zoqloq.com since 09/10/2022. It must be possible for AOL to block this provider completely.

Have now discussed issue with 3 different departments in AOL. There is no bulk block, but you can create a filter in the "Mail Filter' option that will direct all emails containing "zoqloq' and "addtomycartnow' automatically into "Trash" - all trash items, so I am told, will be automatically deleted after 5 days. I've set up these two in the Mail Filters, so we will see. I also asked where to complain to in regard to this feedback forum NOT receiving any sort of replies or responses, or even acknowledgements. I sadly don't expect that to go anywhere - but again, we will see.

Why has this not yet been done. It's not like it is a difficult code change.

AOL You must do something about these SPAM BOMBS or you will be losing a lot of subscribers which includes me.

I can't keep up with blocking all the spam email addresses. Most are correctly identified as spam & go to my spam folder. I want to be able to select them all from there & block them, not retype each individual address. AOL surely could add some steps to the new email address set up process so stop spammers like 1343284@zoqloq2.com!

does AOL even monitor this forum? why have we not had a response from an AOL representative?

It is entirely up to AOL to sort this out. There are obvious perpetrators of these spam mail dumps and it would be perfectly possible to intervene on our behalf and stop them from ever reaching our accounts. iCloud and Gmail already do this. If AOL will not or can't intervene, I'll be closing my account with them, after many years of loyalty. This problem is out of control and it's a 'deal breaker' for me unless AOL decide to intervene.

Agree with others here. I am getting ridiculous amounts of gross spam emails, all starting with the same six digit number. If I could use a wildcard character, I could eliminate these. I am beginning to understand why my kids tell me to go with gmail and get rid of AOL.

Agree with others, especially regarding spam with some form of "zoqloq and addtocartnow" in the domain. Can't use AOL tools to effectively block them. And it seems AOL could care less in taking action against them at the server level.

These are repetitive addresses. zoqloq and addtocartnow. Each address is individually generated and no details are available to forbid them from this. Server is probably in nirvana anyway.
