Why have spam settings changed recently. The vast majority of spam I receive is now in my inbox.

This is the worst spam filter in the world!! Instead of eliminating Spam just move them to a folder wish is full every day.

Spam box filled with sometimes disgusting emails - how can they be stopped . They use different email addresses each time so blocking is no use.

Since you started this "new aol mail" system, my mail has been consistently disarranged as follows: My regular mail is often put in spam and almost 100 percent of the spam mail is inserted into regular mail. End result is 400 items in regular mail and 35 in spam. I won't brother addressing our "new" system as you put me on it and it took all day to get off that system. I've been with aol for decades so it'll take some effort to go to another system but you've about succeeded in giving the incentives needed. This is just a shame. Loretta Date

Today I received a new email using AOL in the from field... "aol-info@" Sound familiar? Similar to renter-info that has been loading my spam and inbox folders for months now. Spammer is telling me to get McAfee. Wonder how many domain names will eventually show up following aol-info. My idea for this post is for AOL to contact their buyer Apollo Global Management and have them track down the spammers they sold our data to.

I sent some in also. Response... report as spam. Never heard back from legal. When sold the new company obtained all our data. AOL never contacted us about our data being sold. We were never given any info on the new owners of our data. Verizon agreed to sell AOL and Yahoo to the private-equity firm Apollo Global Management.
This article is from before the sale happened, but interesting and discusses the potential uses of our data by Apollo Global Management leading up to info on deleting our accounts. https://www.consumerreports.org/privacy/how-to-delete-old-aol-and-yahoo-accounts-a1013802342/ -

How about actually blocking spam emails! AOL is probably the worst at preventing spam from getting into peoples email boxes. Since Jan 22, I have forwarded 975 spam emails for them to investigate with most being from the same domain (.cloud). But apparently AOL does not have the expertise to handle such a small task as filtering. If you can't do it then implement wild card options for us to block the spam emails. I will continue to forward every spam I receive to Tim.Armstrong@oath.com, atte.lahtiranta@oath.com, guru.gowrappan@oath.com. If have to deal with spam because of your lack of expertise, then you have to deal with it also.

Below are the main email names I receive every few minutes daily. We should start a list for AOL since reporting the thousands and thousands as spam does not seem to trigger AOL or Yahoo to deny the spammers use of their servers. The domains change by the minute and daily and start around 2 a.m. through 8 p.m. Probably 90% are renter emails. Maybe AOL shoud look-up the registrars and registrants on Whois and contact them. The frustration daily isn't healthy. It's beyond spam and to a point of harassment and it's all about advertising and scamming people.

Get 100+ spam email every day renter/contact/317556/newsletter/admin/good/info!!!! If they are legitimate senders you will have them in your Contacts. Filters do not work!!!!!! Gutter Guardian, African Manhood, Walmart, Fed Ex the list goes on and on and on!!!!!!!!!! What is the point of putting a filter when they do not stop the spam???????????????

Why can't there be spam blocking with just a portion of the spammers email? Repeated spam emails are sent with just slightly varying email addresses.

When I block *@zxy.com, I still get email from @xyz.com. Why? How is the spammer getting around AOL's block?
