I HATE HATE HATE the new format. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE change it back. We should have been allowed the option to switch or keep the old way. This is TERRIBLE customer service.

I will add I spent forty minutes on the phone with someone (from another country who I couldn't understand very well) trying to resolve some issues with this new AOL. She couldn't help me at all.
As paying customers, we should be given the option of what we want - not just have you switch things on us without our consent. I do not like this new version and since I paid for the old version, I would like it back. As someone earlier said, this new version sucks. -

I absolutely HATE this new format - it is very confusing and difficult to manuver. I can't stand being not able to scroll down and keep seeing my emails without having to click on a next page. Why does AOL feel the need to do this? I have other issues as well. This was really a dumb idea and I just may go somewhere else.

Please gimme back the option to keep the perfectly usable former format. This new **** ***** with mail I wish to keep as new mail. So I'm constantly checking to see what it's decided to move to old mail. Also now when I try to view new mail it brings it up in a little slit at the bottom instead of a new window so I gotta push up the new mail window to view it at all. Who thought this new **** was a good idea?

How can I switch back to the previous version. This new version is cumbersome. I am not happy with this at all.

Go back to the old format!!! It was far better. If you don't do that, at least add the option of viewing emails in separate old mail/new mail folders in the BASIC new AOL email. I spent an hour with your customer support chat and phone, only to find out that this is not possible now. The old and new email folders were much easier than this new mess.

As of today, there was another update, and they DISCONTINUED the original version.
So there is absolutely no way to switch back to the old version. I just did a live chat. This is terrible!!!! I hate this new version. First, several months ago, I despised the new advertisements (even gmail, for example doesn't stick in so many ads and it's free).
- Now, everything has changed. Email doesn't pop up in individual window which is the best.
- The emails are spaced out so far.
- You can't organize the emails as you choose (like the stars on the very left, the trash can on which side we choose, and worst, the amount of text we can see from the emails before opening them).- HELP!!!! AOL, please go back to your old way. This is horrendous. I have been a dedicated member since the 1990's when you first came out! I have stayed after all friends and colleagues have switched to gmail (or older ones, yahoo).

Nope, they don't. Unless they've run out of cloud space, and this is really a ploy to get everyone to go somewhere else. If that's the real intent, this update is genius!!

The new change is so bad i have for the first time in my life gone out of my way to try and contact Aol about it and now here to leave feedback.
What a terrible update. Everything about it is awkward.
It was perfect how it was, simple to use, usage flowed without any niggles.
Now it's nothing but annoying.
The collapse tab on the right side panel is in the way and gets clicked mistakenly.
We like to look through our inbox and see the email opened in the window below. They have kept that option but it's new size takes up too much space, and the smaller option is too tiny to click on !
Then they placed an annoying ad mail always at the top of the inbox email headers, again taking up space.
You have placed 'day' spacers inbetween email headers, that again takes up more space which is annoying as ****. We are trying to get a glance at as many emails as possible while getting a decent preview in the panel below.
I like to refresh my inbox to make sure there is nothing in queue. That's now gone.
The search box is now moved to the top and it just completey failed me. The previous search box worked fine and directly search my email, not gave me all these other options.
There is an annoying pop up that is situated in an awkward place everytime you do an action like delete emails.
It was perfectly fine before, this change is not welcome. I will for sure leave AOL if it continues like this. -

I like the old format better. AOL makes it so difficult to find HOW to go back to the old format. I am 76 yrs old and am not tech savy and just want to leave things the way they are…the way I have been using for a long time! Maybe just maybe I will stumble on the directions to rturn to the old method!

We accidently lost our "old" format and the NEW format appeared in its place. After using (or trying to use it), I accidently changed to the "classic" format, which I liked much better than the new format. Its much closer to the format that was accidently lost. The one thing that I don't like is not being able to scroll down in the inbox from the newest e-mail to the oldest
I contacted tech support to see there was some fix for not having to open and advance through pages to find something, but the tech seem more concerned in convincing me that the new format was what I needed. Was she a tech or a sales rep. I told her that I didn't need (or want) all those new whistles and bells, but I wanted something simple to use. But she kept insisting. GOOD GRIEF!
I try again tomorrow. Maybe I get a tech who knows how to solve my problem.
Why all this insistence on the new format? Do your developers just need something to do and keep busy. Leave it alone. And if you must have a new format, fine. Let those who want it, use it. Give us old "dinosaurs" what we want (and pay for) - simplicity!
