"We Think This Is Spam"
I'm a permanently-rated 100% disabled veteran and I get a lot of email from the US government, especially the Department of Veterans Affairs. Almost every day at least one is headed "We Think This Is Spam" and asks me if I want it. I subscribe to it and it's powered by the government! Is this logical? why does this happen to me - I've inquired about this with other vets that use AOL and they say it's never happened to them. What's up?
Hi there. We are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you! I recommend adding these senders to your contacts and to mark their emails as Not Spam in case they end up in the Spam folder.

Accidentally

I was accidentally deletel one of my important email, at about 5 min ago (Singapore times5:25pm, how can i recall back???If any of your emails were deleted in the past 7 days, please contact us at help.aol.com and we'll do our best to recover your lost emails.

aol mail sort dies not review sort setting after sort before display
If you click sort while aol mail is busy sorting, like from sort ascending to sort descending, the visual indication arrow changes but the script fails to look at it and displays the obsolete sort data. You can click on the folder to get your sort. The sort script should recheck the sort indicator before composing a new display, in case it is a waste of time and a visible failure to honor the sort indication. This is an old bug. Maybe nobody there uses aol mail on a computer or connections low enough for the click to get ahead…

Since the update/upgrade?...Mail won't open.
25% of my emails won't open...message says "We couldn't load this message. Retry." Retry never works.
It remains in "New Mail". Eventually I reload the page and that mail sometimes transfers to "Recently Deleted" where it may or may not open, and sometimes the mail disappears completely never to be found on the computer. Have to now go to my iphone to find some of these mails. Horrible "Upgrade"!!! What a royal PIA!Hi, we'd like to hear more about this issue. I think it's very inconvenient and a waste of time to put my emails in two different folders old and new.
The old way was new unread emails in a bold print so mixing them with others emails is not a problem. I don't like having to go back and forth between old and new folders.
Hi. You can choose to use the Unified mailbox, by going to Settings>More Settings>Viewing email>Inbox style.
If you're using the Classic AOL version, go to Options>Mail Settings>General>Inbox style>Save Settings.

I have a separate account from my wife- but you think we are one person- NO- we are not - stop sending her stuff to my account and vice vers
You address my wife in my emails- My wife is not ME- we have separate emails- and separate "names" and passwords. Why are you thinking we are one and the same? It causes problems because emails think we are one person.
We don't redirect a user's emails to a different user's inbox. Make sure you weren't included in the CC/BCC or your wife didn't give out your email address to the sender instead of her own.

Music I receive NOT downloading as it has for years.
I DJ and receive music from various companies. NEVER ever had a problem until the past few days. I think we're dealing with, "IF IT AIN'T BROKE, WHY FIX THE **** THING" which I think you've done with this new version. BUT, one person just sent me 5 or 6 new pieces of music and while one might download the other 5 don't. I finally had to sent them to my google account to get them. This is not good, everyone knows me as texmexfm@aol.com I really don't want to change.

We're sorry to hear about your loss! The option to save all emails to a computer hard drive is not available in AOL Mail. You can do that manually or use a third-party email application.

Verizon Account Users/Accounts Not working as of August 5th.
Verizon email account users. As of 8/5/2021 Verizon emails are not able to be received and or sent successfully. This occurs with any third-party email clients. It's an AOL server issue. It is not a password, or server setting issue. AOL, please investigate your email server for Verizon account users.

Pop has stopped working
Pop is no longer working. This started about 8/28
I've tried a variety of settings: letting thunderbird choose / setting my own / using settings aol says to use.
None are working.If you use AOL two-step verification or an older email app, you may need to use an app specific password to access AOL Mail. Just remember, app passwords are only valid for the app they are created for and remain valid until you sign out or remove access to the app. At that time, a new password will need to be created.

customer service is a joke
Contacted customer support at 11 Am on 6-7-2022 and dealt with multiple different people because they kept hanging up on me received three different claim numbers and absolutely no help my messages for my business that i need going to my inbox are going to my spam folder or not appearing anywhere and my inbox is still only receiving junk mail the first time i called i was told to pay $16 for advanced technical support and was promised they would be able to fix my issue as long as I paid the $16 a month i paid and received…

POP3 server providing inconsistent information. Not getting all of my emails!!!
I receive an error that the POP3 server is providing inconsistent information. You are declaring valid mail as spam. After I designate it as "Not Spam" I still do not receive the email!

Receiving OLD email
Am suddenly receiving emails from merchants dated 2018, 2019 (it is now 2021) all having to do with payments received or invoices waiting for payment. I have checked with one merchant and they have no record of having sent the email and I am paid in full with them. Since these emails are from various merchants with whom I've done business in the past, it looks like the problem source could be AOL instead of the merchant. Could you please look into this and reply? I do not see any other way on your site to report this issue.

An AOL named **@aol.com, has posted an obscene, threatening email to **@aol.com. It's currently in my old mail box. I assume there is something you can do about ths.

Terrible customer service Marvin. I am filing a complaint with the FCC.
CSR Marvin was terrible. He should not be on the hpones and is useless. He could not answer any questions. Gave me the run around, would not give me a mgr or supervisor. Said I had to pay for technical support. I am filing a formal complaint with the FCC.

Unable to access AOL (Verizon) email on two different apps: Postbox and K-9 mail, so it is on YOUR END. Please fix!!
Can't send OR receive Verizon email for 18 hours in either my PC app (Postbox) or my phone app (K-9) mail. This usually goes away in a few hours, but now I am totally shut out. FIX IT PLEASE!
