Thank you for returning to the old format. I am very appreciative and will continue to use my AOL mail that I've been using since 2001.
Could you please message us on Twitter at @AOLSupportHelp or on Facebook at AOL Customer Care? We'd like to look more into the issue you're experiencing. In case you do not have a social media account, we are also available at: https://help.aol.com/contact/
Looking forward to your reply!
Support, how can I retreive all my messages for my account since I have not logged into in a long time? Thanks.
Hi. If an account is unused or dormant for 12 months, it is deactivated and its emails are deleted, more info here: https://help.aol.com/articles/reasons-aol-deactivates-or-deletes-an-account
Once emails are being purged during the inactivity period of the account, they are deleted from the servers as well. While your recent login reactivated your account, the data deleted is not recoverable.
how do you clear email address in the query box- I have the same " 6 helpful" emails addresses that I cannot get rid of - please prove a clearance tool
You should be able to click the ’’x’’ from the right side of the suggested email address to remove it from the list.
First, please the header boxes on the main page, they spin past in a blur and I can't make heads nor tails of them. Also, please fix the main page so it remembers my location, it always defaults to NY and I do not live in NY. THANK YOU!
When you see incorrect local information (such as the news or weather for a different location) on your Welcome Screen, you may want to verify your location is correct. This can be done by making sure your correct City, State is in the top left of your Welcome Screen.
If it is not, please click “Update Your Location” under Local News and Weather, enter your Zip Code and press Save.
If this does not work, please clear your cache, cookies, and history.
Here is an article for instructions: http://aol.it/1KTJUg6
Then try adding in your Zip Code again.
PLEASE improve your outgoing automated message. They asked for the first 4 letters of my email address which I had to yell into the phone 5x before I was connected. Have been a loyal AOL member since 1996 or 1997 and should not have to work so hard to get to tech support. I am never late paying you for my support. Is it possible for you to change, update or just plain fix the automated message?
Hi there, I’m sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you! I will make sure to pass your feedback along to the right team. Additionally, you can contact our support team through chat, at https://help.aol.com/contact/
i HAVE TO SIGN IN EVERYTIME i USE THIS SITE. WHY AND PLEASE STOP IT. NEVER HAD THIS BEFORE
Staying signed in to your AOL account allows for quick, convenient access to all your favorite AOL services. However, there are some circumstances when you’ll be prompted to sign in again. More info here: https://help.aol.com/articles/fix-problems-signing-in-to-aol-mail
AOL email has been incredibly slow for several weeks. Have to wait a long time for it to respond to alphabetical letters typed, opening an email, moving, closing, deleting emails and all other activities. It has become unacceptable. Tried signing out, closing and reopening aol but nothing helps.
Many times latency is caused by an unsupported or outdated browser. I would suggest checking your current web browser for an update.
AOL Product Support
When signing on after entering password geo.yahoo takes on average 30 seconds before continuing. Excess amount of time?
In most cases latency normally occurs when software is out of date. We do recommend. trying another web browser such as Chrome or Firefox.

Hi, older people like me often make the mistake to hit the back button of the browser while reading our mail.. which was not the intent. You anticipated on this because we get the Oh-No! message with a Go back option whenever we do (which is often!) You could help us dummies a lot by placing a 'back button' arrow yourself on the darker grey bar just above the email. This bar is currently only used as a link to AOL start page and not in use otherwise like the top 'light grey' bar. It would even be possible to put some other helpful buttons there too like the back and forward arrows en reload sign as on the Google browser top left corner.. and de 'home' AOL button. I may have overlooked something and chances are this might confuse even more users but let's have a pilot, why not? Greets. G.M.

Thank you for the feedback. I will pass this information along to our product team for consideration in feature releases.
How can I add and view Contacts in AOL?
Learn how to add, edit, delete, import, and export contacts: https://help.aol.com/articles/Manage-contacts-in-AOL-Mail
What happened to the back arrow? Recently after reading a message, I have to go to "inbox" to go back to the inbox. I used to be able to hit an arrow within the message menu that would take me back. The way it is now, I have to wait for all of the messages to re-load. I like the old way better so I can be back at the inbox and decide how to manage my messages.
To return to the mailbox, you are able to click the “X” option in the top right instead of clicking Inbox. You are also able to select the down and up icons to go through mail in your inbox.
STOP compiling ads based on past web searches!!!! JUST GIVE ME MY EMAIL Like GOOGLE DOES AND LEAVE IT AT THAT. I no make it a point to NOT buy from the ads you force upon me. You can do better in these frustrating times,

Provide an option to block out Today on AOL
You can easily disable the ‘Today on AOL’ news feed by following the steps below:
- Click the ‘Options’ menu located in the top right corner of the screen
- Select ‘Mail Settings’
- In the ‘General’ tab, un-check the ‘Show me Today on AOL when signing in’ feature
This will allow you to go directly to your Inbox when signing in to your email account.
Why do I have to get a code everytime I sign in. I don't use this device exclusively, but I use it every day. it is not a strange computer
Fix the sign in so I don't have to get a code every time I use it!! Irritating!!!
We apologize for the inconvenience, but AOL is just doing its best to protect your online safety. In case you sign in from a new device or using a new network you will be asked to verify that you are the owner of the account for security purposes. Once the device gains enough reputation you will no longer be asked to verify your login.
I can't rename my folders using the web interface, Help.
Please try clearing the browser cache and cookies If the issue persists we recommend using a different browser.
Hi! On my iPhone I tried to use bing to pull up aol, I click the button to get the menu of folders. I click a folder but nothing happens! I click search box, but can’t type anything. I do person icon to sign out, and see click to close bar, but click doesn’t do anything. All these things work fine on safari. Please fix them.
You can try typing mail.aol.com in the browser and sign in. If you encounter issues you can use the AOL App on your device: https://help.aol.com/articles/aol-app-downloading-and-installing
I have email setting to NOT see your aol news page when signing in to emails, but the past few days this setting is not working.
Please clear your browser history, cookies and cache here’s how: https://help.aol.com/articles/clear-cookies-cache-history-and-footprints-in-your-browser , then try again. If still doesn’t work, please try another browser.
When trying to clean up my E-Mail it does not allow me to click on a box and go down a bunch to the last one I want to delete and the shift-click and auto fill DOES NOT WORK. It used to and now it doesn't. I went to the AOL "help site" and it does not let me ask a question or inform them of their problem unless I upgrade my service. TOTAL *** when it is an AOL problem - GEEEEEZ.
We have a solution for you, please clear your browser history, cookies and cache here’s how: https://help.aol.com/articles/clear-cookies-cache-history-and-footprints-in-your-browser
Also we recommend you to try a different browser.
how do i get into my mail from my daughters home
Please provide us with more details about the issue you are experiencing at aolsupporthelp.aol.com
Thank you for the ability to create filters for email to go folders. The challenge is that we do not see the auto-filtered to folders email, in the inbox, so it is often overlooked.
Is there a way to see in the general inbox, and also find in the folders? If so, along with subfolders, I would use this filter feature more frequently and effectively.
Thank you for your consideration,
If a new mail is filtered to a specific mail folder, the folder will have a number next to it, indicating that there is a new mail.
