Provide disable newsfeed "Today on AOL" when signing in

Provide disable newsfeed "Today on AOL" when signing in. It says that this feature can easily be disabled by going to Options, select mail settings, general, un-check the "Show me Today on AOL when signing in" in feature. Doesn't work. Still get 50-60 news' daily! Please help!

    those options don't even exist. I want AOL to stop sending me articles from "people" that are all about murders and killing kids. gross ****.
