On September 1, 2022, server changes are now preventing imap connections to outlook, at least on my windows 7 computer and any type of connection on my kindle fire even with aol generated passwords. Impossible to share issues with tech support even if I pay for support. Are the days of AOL coming to an end?

these bastards at AOL are confirmed liars as they keep saying try again in two days or use alternate browser to generate app password for outlook and yet, 10 days later it still doesn't work. All tech support paychecks should be suspended until problem is resolved, and upper management who don't seem to care about this should be fired. Bring in Musk to straighten it out. I have lost my outlook calendar as a result and am really ****** off at AOL. When I return from overseas trip will be switching to Gmail.

Thank you for fixing the imap for windows. Anything we can do about kindle fire? Still unable to enter an aol generated password in the kindle and get it through amazon. Will only setup with aol web password and then will not connect.

I have been with AOL for 30 years. Yes, I know this is a joke in email land. But until recently, AOL worked fine for me. I do wish there was some way to inform AOL of the affects of the changes they make back at the farm. Even paying for support only connected me to reps who are lacking in any tech knowledge of their own products with no intent on passing up my concerns. You know it will be a major hassle to change all my sites to a new email account. I will have to do that eventually I suppose. Can still access AOL thru POP on my outlook. Not my preferred protocol. I am hoping AOL will read out postings here to fix the issues.
