If I delete blocked mail to make room for more, will the emails still be blocked?

I'm getting spammed with oodles of sex-related emails. I've never gone to a sex-related site, so I don't understand why I am being targeted. It's definitely not something I want to see when I click on my spam folder, especially with the raw subject line that's being used. Thanks
