    I also have been dealing with poor email service (AOL IMAP) for some time now. I use Thunderbird as my email server as well, and it has been very frequent that my incoming email just plain refuses to download to my computer until I reboot, jump on one foot and rub my tummy, etc. Please, if there is *ANYTHING* you can do to improve the AOL email service with Thunderbird client, please take a look at it. I would really hate to change again after moving my email from GMail to AOL, but frankly I hate to say it but GMail just worked much better, and I didn't have to deal with any of this. Don't you want to change this? You might get ... gasp ... new customers! Or keep those that you currently have! I know Google has far more money, but email servers have been a thing for a *long* time, so unless you just can't afford enough servers to keep the service smooth for the number of customers you support, what is the actual issue?
