AOL purposely does not let you turn off their own version of email filtering which forces you to always go to their email website in order to mark emails as 'not spam'. I've missed several legitimate when trying to download with Outlook because AOL marked as spam. I NEVER look at the advertisements on their site regardless. I am in the process of migrating to another email provider. So tired of it. Bad way to do business.

Due to recent adjustments to the AOL Mail platform, the Spam Settings customization, are no longer available for all accounts. We apologize for the inconvenience. In order to block a specific sender, go to Options – Mail Settings – Spam Settings and add the email addresses in the box below “Block Mail from Addresses I Specify”, then click Save Settings at the bottom, and in case you receive unwanted emails in the Inbox, mark them as Spam.

Allow the ability to turn off the spam filtering or I am going to delete my aol mail account and go to another email. I use Outlook to download my mail but because the spam filtering is filtering out legitimate emails I don't get all of my mail. Now every day I have to go to aol and mark the emails in spam as not as spam and then go back to Outlook to download again. Let me do my own filtering. I am looking into going to another email since I don't have time to keep doing this.
