    I agree with this mostly. Allow us, the AOL users to select what is on our welcome screen. Every time I log on I find more ads or items like the stock market news or lifestyle news and others. Now when I want to check the weather in my area by clicking the full forecast I get kicked by to another welcome screen. I am aware to keep AOL running at a reasonable cost to us. AOL will run ads. But at least let us decide what we want to see. Trying to stop ads can be a big pain. When you try to opt out of ads, you get sent to a site that has a lot of fine print which you try to scroll through to opt out and then it still shows up on your welcome screen. For right now, since AOL keeps putting this spam on my welcome screen. I just log on and then close the welcome screen and use the search box to find what I want.
