  1. Missing welcome sound

    My welcome sound will not play when I sign in. It only says you've got mail. Please fix.

    Thanks for reaching out to us. Can you please report this issue with the Welcome sound by using the “Report a Bug” section, so our engineers can troubleshoot it further? It can be accessed by clicking the Help menu at the top.

    Can't hear the midi sound on my Web Pages on AOL Gold

    Hi there, the sounds on the web page do not work in either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. We recommend contacting your web page administrator, in order to check the web site compatibility with all browsers, or the scripts associated with the auto-play sounds.

  3. No Welcome Sounds / You've got Mail in Desktop Gold

    Sounds are disabled and not playing from the AOL Desktop Software. Currently have the updated version. Troubleshoot with AOL Tech Team and still the same problem.

    Please follow the steps below to make sure the greeting sounds are enabled:

    1. Open the AOL Desktop Gold and sign in.
    2. Click on the ‘Edit’ menu on the top left.
    3. Select ‘General Settings’ from the drop-down menu.
    4. Go to the ‘Personalization’ section on the left.
    5. Select the ‘Sounds’ tab.
    6. Click on ‘Enable All’ (changes are saved automatically).
