How can we improve AOL?

'I can get email for free from MANY other providers. I PAY for my AOL email account and have for years. SO WHY AM I GETTING ADS!?!' has been merged into this idea

why am I getting ads on the new AOL? I have been paying $11.99 a month to have ad free email.

I know you give other things for my monthly subscription but most of them do not appeal to me. I have stayed away from Gmail because I do not want ads.
