Stop spreading ******** lies
Your article accusing Uber drivers of sizing up airport pickups to figure out if they’re from out of town and then look at the map to determine the longest/slowest route, is absurd and an insulting blanket statement. Especially since it’s actually Uber who’s ripping off riders by giving drivers the longest/slowest route as the #1 default option. It’s only if the driver is familiar with the area that they could opt to take a shorter/faster route. You give far too much credit for drivers being able to multi-task while driving and also (with great regularity) while being idiots. Uber has always been the one ripping off riders and drivers. For you to be so inside out with your accusations, shows how far you lean towards being quite regular yourself. I’ve shown riders countless times how Uber is ripping them off. I saved one rider 7 unnecessary miles with the same travel time on a ride. I showed her what Uber was trying to do. She was very grateful although, in hindsight, I wish I had just blindly followed the blue line Uber put on my screen. Because even though I did the right thing and saved that rider a good chunk of change, I also screwed myself out of that chunk. Adding insult to injury, she didn’t even tip me. Get your facts straight or stop making blanket statements as if all drivers are intentionally ripping off riders. That’s certainly not how I drive.
