I continually see articles on the home page of interest. When I have to click 20+ times "next" to get to the punch line and find out what the heck happened I usually lose interest. Ads are overwhelming and annoying, just get to the point. Two screens to get to the story and be done with it. I don't need to skip through 20 pages of history to get to the story! Annoying
