In the first sentence of the article about the shooting in the Big Bear grocery store, a comma should be placed after the word "killed". In the 2nd paragraph, a comma is needed after the word: "Sheriff", and after the name "Maddox". Another place where a comma should've been placed: After the word "agency" (in the 5th paragraph). In that same paragraph, the words "part time" should be HYPHENATED. Here is what the Grammar Log states: When part-time or full-time precede a word, they are always hyphenated, as in part-time faculty members and full-time students. Now, in paragraph 9, the writer or author seems to have placed commas in the appropriate & necessary place. So, if he or she can do that, then, there's hope that he or she can learn to be more vigilant & careful about punctuation, in general. Thank you very much.
