Right now, the opening screen of AOL features an Ad that says that the local Wal-Mart in my town is "closing immediately". That's a lie. I presume that the message delivered to my PC was tailored to name the Wal-Mart in my community, and that someone living a couple states away would find that the Wal-mart in his community was also "closing immediately" which would also be a lie. If I were Wal-Mart, i would have my attorneys working, this minute, on a complaint in Federal Court sounding in disparagement, interference with economic advantage and a host of other counts sounding in the billions of dollars naming your advertiser and you as defendants. Even if you manage to beat the rap, you will bleed millions in legal fees and irritate your customers. Stop the ****.
