Contact inactive customers BEFORE deleting all their emails!
I was inactive on AOL mail for 14 months, but have been a customer for 17 years at least. I just signed on and discovered AOL deleted all my emails without contacting me in advance. The emails included important work documents, tax records and real estate records. As a courtesy, AOL should have reached out to my alternate emails and phone numbers to alert me they are about to delete my files. I am VERY unhappy, what company does that to long term customers????

This is exactly what my family and I are facing. We had both mine and my mother's phone numbers and emails as recovery tools, they should have reached out to us through at least one of them and let us know, now important emails and documents are completely gone.
I hope AOL is reading this and rectifies their *****-up! Shame on them!
