I have been UNABLE to use my third party email app (Thunderbird) because AOL has decided that we HAVE to use their email app with all it's ads and other *. They no longer have the third party app password (another * idea) shut off.
Apparently, Yahoo (I got that from trying to talk to someone on the phone and Yahoo was mentioned) who seems to be running AOL email and who took over for Verizon and AT&T email wants to control the **** we see and prevent users from bypassing all the ads with a third party app.
I guess I will be looking for a new email provider. IT IS A SHAME THAT WE HAVE TO BE AT THE MERCY OF BIG TECH.
