Restore 1990's AOL members emails
For years, tens of thousands of people paid premium dollars for their memberships only to lose everything in their email history after AOL sold out to Warner. Some of us lost crucial contacts and career communications that severed us from our records and history, Photos, history, memories of priceless life stories... all wiped clean.
It's WHY we left AOL.
When we left, AOL was left with bad and even angry sentiments from all of us who used to consider AOL a new way to forge future. He had built connections that were like family to us. Now we look back an wonder how life would have been different, maybe even better, had AOL had our backs and kept our email histories intact. WE PAID PREMIUM DOLLARS FOR IT. And it was ripped away. Obviously, AOL didn't care. We wrote letters to AOL service staff to no avail.
We all lost a big part of our history, friends and family members. Things that can't be replaced. It is THIS topic that came up tonight at a gathering where everyone stopped and became silent when they remembered what they lost that AOL didn't think mattered. So I am posting this thought... that maybe AOL should do what they can to restore the lost emails and photos to all the people you carelessly left behind. It would be a very welcomed event that would capture major attention by millions. Restore our emails that were lost while AOL executives were more worried about themselves. You might just experience a rebirth in the marketplace and restore respect of your members who were left in the dust.
