At the direction of tech support, and a senior technician at AOL, I am submitting feedback for a technical issue
Up until this morning, I've been able to check my *.cs.com email in the Gmail app on my Android phone. I have two *.cs.com accounts, the other one works just fine using imap.aol.com and port 993, and smtp.aol.com using port 465. And using SSL\TLS. But the other *.cs.com account won't authenticate against those mail servers. It doesn't work with the csi.com domain either, which support asked me to try. The error is username or password is incorrect. I'm able to get to my email in a browser at mail.aol.com, and through the AOL mail app which I installed on my phone just to verify it works.
The issue is on your end, not mine. I've logged into my AOL\CS account in a browser and went to my security settings and generated new app passwords 3 times today, and still it won't authenticate.
