I have been receiving emails recognized and categorized by AOL as spam which contain attached calendar invitations (.ics) and they are properly filed away forever in my spam folder.

But! these spam email events are added to my AOL calendar.

I have contacted support and opened up a case regarding the issue of the new "Smart features" after my discovery of this in the privacy dashboard.
"Use information from your emails to enable Smart Features so you can get the most out of your Yahoo experience: ... and suggested appointments to add to your calendar. ..."

Attachments to emails located in the spam folder should not be recognized by this feature as valid event to add to the calendar.
