I am writing as an authorized representative of Seattle Thunderbolts regarding the following article:

The article uses an archival photograph of Bodugum Akhilesh Reddy representing Seattle Thunderbolts during the 2022 Minor League Cricket season. The image prominently displays Seattle Thunderbolts and/or UST sponsor branding.
The ICC proceedings reported in the article concern conduct during the 2025 Abu Dhabi T10. Neither Seattle Thunderbolts nor UST is named or implicated in the ICC announcement or sanction findings. The Thunderbolts photograph is from an unrelated team, competition and period.
When displayed as the principal article image and social-media thumbnail without adequate context, the photograph creates an unintended and damaging association between Seattle Thunderbolts, UST and the misconduct described in the article. It is tarnishing brand for us and our sponsors i.e. UST.
We respectfully request that you promptly:
Replace the photograph with a neutral image, an ICC image, or an image relating to the 2025 Abu Dhabi T10/Aspin Stallions;
Alternatively, crop or obscure the Seattle Thunderbolts and UST branding;
If the photograph remains, add this clarification prominently to its caption:
“File photo: Bodugum Akhilesh Reddy representing Seattle Thunderbolts during the 2022 Minor League Cricket season. The ICC offences concerned the 2025 Abu Dhabi T10. Neither Seattle Thunderbolts nor UST is named or implicated in the ICC proceedings.”
Please also replace the article thumbnail, Google News image, Open Graph/social-sharing image, syndication feed image and any related social-media posts.

We are not requesting any change to the accurate reporting of the ICC decision. Our request is limited to preventing the unrelated team and sponsor from being visually associated with conduct that occurred years later in a different competition.
Given the ongoing reputational impact, we would appreciate confirmation of the corrective action taken within 48 hours.
