Allow someone to comment on your posts or give them the ability to chat with AOL as to why not.
So, I'm logged in and the internet is working and all seems fine until I try and comment on one of y'alls post. OK, it's your site but I am paying for it and should be able to state my case for or against. NOPE, can not happen...maybe 2-3 times it (you) will allow me to make a comment (in a MONTH). Now if my comments are offensive or against community norms, then convey that to me. But just shutting out is totally childish and stupid.

I have noticed that you have turned off commenting for articles that slam GOP members and legislatures. Why is that? Can't take the truth?
Turn on commenting for all articles regardless of political party and let the people say exactly what they want to. That is the definition of free speech. Something you do not have the right to withhold.

I have been a subscriber to AOL for many years, back to the Compuserve and dial up days. I am becoming more, and more, disallusioned and disappointed with the stories you present that have to be clicked through a dozen or more times. I'm considering leaving the site permanently.

It's still impossible for me to have no points unless I'm being embarrassed and treated unfairly. How can the point system have any truth or value if so many people have literally tens of thousands of votes. If I'm being punished for "bad" comments, there has to be a reset at some point, agree?
