Could you please hire Assist personnel who are actually trained to provide technical support? And a place to report customer service issues?
In the course of attempting to solve an email access problem, in November 2023, an AOL help desk technician deleted my email account and thereby deleted the email files on my desktop. Today, I attempted to have the files restored by your Assist team. The first technician searched Google for answers. When Google's assistance proved insufficient, she said she would consult with someone. Instead, she hung up. A second technician said that she could not locate any emails under my account. She told me to call back in a few days. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, she told me that there was no supervisor. The third technician deleted my email account and started a download, which, after a few hours, restored the files that I already had - the past 6 months of messages. Before your technician deleted them, I had 12 years of emails stored on my desktop. I want them restored. I can see the messages on your server when I log into mail.aol.com but they will not download. And no one at Assist can assist.
