UNUSUAL ACTIVITY AT SIGN IN NEED VERIFICATION
Stop the DAILY WE HAVE NOTICED UNUSUAL ACTIVITY VERIFICATION! I get this daily!! So sick of it. There's no UNUSUAL activity! It's me, it's always me.....my internet just changes where I get my signal on daily basis!
Hi. If there's something unusual about your sign in or recent activity, we'll ask you to go through another verification step after you've entered the correct password. This helps protect your account from unauthorized access. You may be prompted to get a verification code on your AOL app, recovery phone number, or recovery email address for any of the following reasons:
AOL notices suspicious account activity.
You're using an unfamiliar browser or device.
You're traveling away from your usual location.
You sign in while using a VPN or a proxy server.
You've logged in with a private or incognito window.
There are many attempts to sign in with incorrect passwords.
The "First time signing in from this device" message appears.
You've cleared your browser history or data cache including cookies.
We are sorry for the inconvenience this is causing you! If you need additional help, please contact us on Twitter at @AOLSupportHelp or on Facebook at our AOL Customer Care page. If you do not have a social media account, we are available at help.aol.com.
Thank you,
AOL team

Since 9/9 AOL asking me for verification code every time I log in. I and Spectrum use Nord VPN-rolling vpn so AOL old technology can handle it. They harass users. They also want to regulate our travel - I log from too many locations-errands, medical office, beach, restaurants, car, occasional travel- all prohibited by AOL but never a problem with other emails providers. It looks like total dictatorship!

Why do I have to receive a verification code every time I log into my AOL account and spent unnecessary money?

Sept 12, 2023 Since 9/9 I am requested daily (9/10 twice a day) to provide access code to my account. It is plain harassment because it is above regular email providers practices. Will be reported. This is not Canada by US -civility applies

This is just outrage -plain harassment without justification. THIS is USA not Canada.

I use AOL mail for 5 yrs and I was asked for security check only once a while. Now on 9/9, 9/10 (twice),9/11. Is this harassment? I always used VPN so what changed? I will go to my political rep or state agency to report this harassment.

Get rid of the constant having to verify each time you want into an account. It is a pain.
Those of us who don't use Facebook can't contact you for support. Don't require me to sign into another program. AOL HELP should be at the AOL site.

Why do I have to verify that I am signing into my email? One account requires it and the other doesn't.
