UNUSUAL ACTIVITY AT SIGN IN NEED VERIFICATION
Stop the DAILY WE HAVE NOTICED UNUSUAL ACTIVITY VERIFICATION! I get this daily!! So sick of it. There's no UNUSUAL activity! It's me, it's always me.....my internet just changes where I get my signal on daily basis!
Hi. If there's something unusual about your sign in or recent activity, we'll ask you to go through another verification step after you've entered the correct password. This helps protect your account from unauthorized access. You may be prompted to get a verification code on your AOL app, recovery phone number, or recovery email address for any of the following reasons:
AOL notices suspicious account activity.
You're using an unfamiliar browser or device.
You're traveling away from your usual location.
You sign in while using a VPN or a proxy server.
You've logged in with a private or incognito window.
There are many attempts to sign in with incorrect passwords.
The "First time signing in from this device" message appears.
You've cleared your browser history or data cache including cookies.
We are sorry for the inconvenience this is causing you! If you need additional help, please contact us on Twitter at @AOLSupportHelp or on Facebook at our AOL Customer Care page. If you do not have a social media account, we are available at help.aol.com.
Thank you,
AOL team

I do not remember my password to my account, nor do I have the phone number anymore that AOL is requiring for verification in order to access my account. I am given NO other option, not even an option saying "if you don't have this phone number, click here." You at least should be given that option, and then input your new phone number to get a text to. Another option would be to send something to your email address that would then let you change your password. None of that! It still goes back to phone verification with a phone number I no longer have.
This is absolutely RIDICULOUS. Now my account is forever frozen, and it could have been hacked into for all we know. I think AOL needs to get sued for this if they don't have any other solution. I consulted with an attorney, and a lawsuit indeed could be filed. I expect a solution IMMEDIATELY. You really don't want this to escalate any further.
How come you people have ZERO common sense? -

Can you tell me how to undo this stay verified request. I think I would prefer the being verified rather than have it open. Thank you for your assistance with this issue.

I can no longer access my aol account when I'm not home. I will no longer be using aol. This stupid verification was a horrible idea! I have to switch emails to verify and when I switch back to add the verification number, it's no longer valid. I have no use for AOL any more especially not with my important emails.

I do not know what you did. I used to open aol mail and the new mail tab would open. Now every time I open my mail, it goes to recently deleted. I even went into settings and selected new mail for my landing page and it still does this. This is absolutely ridiculous and not user friendly. If this is your idea of settings that are easy to use, why should I pay more for even more aggravation.

Why has the sign in process gone to pot? I used to select for a phone verification by call or text and it was virtually instant, now the call to me never works, and the text option doesn't work properly I have to wait for 60 seconds to request a RE SEND CODE then it works eventually, This is very frustrating and poor by past AOL standards.

AOL seems to have a big security issue. Support made all changes to my account to secure it. I changed the password. A persistent hacker still got in.
