AOL Mail is costing me hours of time I do not have by randomly putting emails I need in the trash
STOP RANDOMLY PUTTING MY EMAILS IN THE TRASH!! I don't have time to waste going through looking for the emails I need.
Hi. In most cases, this problem is caused by the incoming mail filters on your account. To verify your incoming mail filters, please go to mail.aol.com using a desktop computer/laptop, and click on Settings on the top right, then More Settings, and finally Filters. On the Filter page, review the filters that are set up to move your incoming emails to the trash folder, then edit or delete them, in order to receive your emails in your Inbox. If there's a filter that you did not create, your account might have been compromised, in which case, we strongly recommend you to secure it, here's how: https://help.aol.com/articles/recognize-a-hacked-aol-mail-account
If you're using a mobile app or program that's setup to delete email from the server, you'll need to contact the manufacturer for help. Examples include Outlook and Mac Mail.
If you need additional help, please contact us on Twitter at @AOLSupportHelp or on Facebook at our AOL Customer Care page. If you do not have a social media account, we are available at help.aol.com.
Thank you,
AOL team

Please check the settings in any third party apps you may have set up to read your AOL Mail and any Filters you may have set up. These are the most common sources of missing email reports.

Every time I open up the web version of AOL mail, I find most of my unread mail in the trash. I didn’t put it there. Stop doing this.

My emails keep getting sent to trash. It happens randomly where all of my emails for the past month all go to the trash. This is the 4th or 5th time this has happened and Im pretty much all set with this.

WHY do emails occasionally get put into trash without me putting it into trash. These are my work emails that I am in the middle of working on and every now and then I can't find the email and I look in trash and there it is. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING. I can go back and restore it into inbox BUT WHY??

I would like to decide whether to delete or send e-mails to another folder rather than have AOL make the decision for me. This morning, having not deleted an important message, I found it in my deleted mail folder.
Additionally, once I've retrieved a message AOL has sent wherever it, not I, saw fit, without my consent, I'd like it to remain in new mail without my having to find it and re-retrieve it every time I open it.
Who knows better what I need, AOL or I?

Why do my mail disappear within minutes after I read it? I read it and it is not longer there when I go back to read it again.

I have to go through every category to find my new mail. If I put a sender into spam it doesn't keep them from sending more mail to "New Mail." I was told by your customer service rep to just keep deleting them. Lousy solution.

Go back to the classic mail.
