How can we improve AOL Mail?

aol mail does not work since the update. I cannot read most of them because there are questions marks instead of text.

aol mail does not work since the update. I cannot read most of them because there are questions marks instead of text. Customer service tried to help but was not able to. It leaves me with no choice but to change carriers which I do not want to do. HELP!!!!!!
