App specific password generator doesn't work
Repair App Specific Password generator. Without it we can't use 3rd party email clients like Thunderbird.

How do you intend to be competitive if you can't make an app specific password generator work? You gave a suggestion that we should use the webmail or AOL app, I have a better one. Why don't we just move on? I signed in thinking I could class this with Outlook, Google, and Icloud. Apparently I was mistaken. Why not just remove the frustrating link and abandon your efforts to implement security this way. Imagine posting here that you don;t know when it will be in operation. That doesn't engender trust.

This is a serious issue. I've had the same email address for 20 years and now I'm going to have to change it if I can't get this resolved.

The fact that this feature no longer works, but is required, is upsetting.

In order to access aol mail from an app like outlook or gmail, it requires an app-specific password you can generate in account settings. However, that option errors saying "not available, try again later", and has every time I try to use it. That this has been a problem for nearly 2 years now is honestly astounding.
There are hundreds of other people who have complained about this very problem, and still it persists. Being able to access our email is vital to this using this service and without it, we seem to be forced to move to another email provider.
