SPAM
I get certain emails all the time...and now, all of a sudden, and it's hit or miss, you're asking me if its save of not. If I've interacted with the sender before, especially for YEARS, stop asking me that stupid question. Sometime multiple times almost near each other.
Certainly you have a way to figure out the algorithm, right? You're a tech company, right? Then I get emails that are obviously spam that end up in my in box.
Get your act together please.

I don't know what's going on, but for the past week or so, I've been checking my spam folder daily and deleting all the spam there. I had been under the impression that the spam emails had to remain there until they were auto-deleted. Perhaps that is wrong? The past several days, hardly any spam has shown up. There have been a few, but one day last week I deleted over 50 in one day. I might be speaking too soon and there's usually been a slowdown during the weekend - but still more than I have been getting the past few days. I'm hoping that AOL has found a way to keep huge numbers of spam from getting through.

Sandra, I fully agree! I think that AOL encourages this type of spam! They allow it because they get paid even if the email address is obviously fraudulent!

I went from no spam to daily spam. They even use the same subject type constantly. I've created numerous filters, and a new filter each time, but they keep slightly changing the subject to bypass filters. Seriously, fix this you outdated garbage company.

I do not know why this is happening, but I cannot Delete all of the Spam for an e-mail address. Maybe one of the super bright coders should fix this. AI coding may not be a good solution.

How many times do we have to say this? STOP the SPAM!
Most of it consists of 3 categories.
- Fraudulent Invoices (As in the perpetration of crimes)
- Casino Spam
- **** SpamI don't want this **** in my Spam folder; just bounce it all back to the senders. if you can.
Give us 3 simple buttons.
- Fraudulent Invoices straight to Deleted.
- Casino Spam straight to Deleted.
- **** Spam straight to Deleted.Nine months ago I used to get maybe 3 Spam per day; now I get hundreds.
I don't want to have to wade through all of that Spam just to find the occasional legit Email that ends up in the Spam folder.
No one has time to waste on all of this Spam! -

Am very disappointed in the way you are allowing offensive emails to load into our mail.
Surely you have a way to block such things. Try harder. -

The block senders except those on contact list is not working. I cannot stop all the spam ****, and my smam folder has increased to 10 times what it was before. AOL must be allowing this. I need a way to perminately stop this spam. I would drop AOL but have too many things tied to it.

I am not able to block senders with filthy sexual content. The Block Sender button does not appear, and when I was able to do this they still came through. How can I permanently block these.

I just noticed that now Ads have invaded my personal folders. Bad enough that they cram ads in random locations throughout the inbox, but now they also have to infest my personal space with their unwanted intrusions. Get out of my personal folders!

It's a pain sorting thru the excessive amount of junk mail as it is. Now you place Ads in the middle my inbox emails? That is about as deceptive as you can get. Please get rid of this ASAP

Please give us the option to say "I don't like this ad" for ads that are put in my inbox between actual emails. Irritating ads do not make me likely to buy whatever the advertiser is selling. Quite the opposite

I want to add my voice about this issue too. And I see the original post is from January 2025. It's now late June 2026 and this issue has only been getting worse. Why don't you do anything about it? Isn't it technologically possible?

The ad at the top of the list is annoying enough. It is spam, not email. Now you insert spam ads as emails in all folders? Yes, I can tell the difference between your ad emails and the mail I'm expecting, but there's something special about adding those ad emails to my Inbox, Sent, Spam and my personal organization folders. Really? You stick them in the Spam folder, too?! I won't click on them and you won't make me a paying customer by trashing my inbox and folders. There are too many better options out there.

Aol seem to be supporting SPAMMERS with their 1000 policy, which is a shame. I have had the same AOL email address for nearly 40 years and am now looking to close it down due to the amount of SPAM I get.
