Remove Email Alias Not Working

I've tried deleting an email alias using Edge and Chrome. The alias greys out and says disconnecting but is never removed. I have tried at least 12 times. Please fix this feature.

    I do not understand why an alias email address is listed under my mailboxes. Agent said it is there by default, and cannot be deleted. Since it is listed under my mailboxes, makes one think that it got generated my someone who illegally accessed my account.
