Stop screwing up working versions just for the sake of change
You don't need to keep adding new things, because you keep screwing up old things in the process. The email used to work reliably; now random parts of a conversation go to spam, and the search function fails to find half of the things that include the search term. YOUR AI DOES NOT WORK RIGHT so stop forcing it on us until you get it right.

I think it is the older users that the change hurts the most why don't you pick an age and people that are older than that let them keep the basis if they want

Totally agree - why did you feel it necessary to change the way AOL is used? There have been two major changes since I joined, and both have made it worse.

I agree! AOL Mail isn't what it was!! They even eliminated the selection of Classic, Courier New, Comic Sans MS, Garamond, Impact and Lucinda Console fonts. They're listed but they don't work anymore. Why does AOL list them when users can't adopt them? Go figure...

Updated 10/19/26...
I get what AOL has done. They stopped telling me that I reached the block limit I have looked at the block list and the new addresses are there. But they are not there later or the next day. The added excess emails are removed.There used to be a running total, too, but that is gone. I suppose AOL must figure we won't know that there's a limit if they don't tell their users when the limit is reached.
================
From what I am currently seeing, the block limit has been increased. I don't know what it has been increased to, but right now there are over 1027 in my blocked list. The system has also stopped outright rejecting wildcards to block domains, but those disappear from the list quickly. -

Also, why do think you should be entitled to money I don't have just so I can expand the message window? And why do you think you are entitled to waste my Internet bandwidth by choking my web browser with ads and spam, hmm? Don't you make enough money from all your bad investments in failed enterprises to not need ads any more? Greed is POISON. And poison KILLS. Do away with both the ads and payware features and I may consider giving you a dollar. Until then though, my ad blocker stays enabled and you ain't gonna tell me otherwise.

The previous UI design was FAR MORE TOLERABLE visually AND functionally speaking. Currently, any email I wish to save as a PDF saves EVERYTHING in the browser window. Before, the message would open in a separate tab without all the "visual accoutrements" that AOL have decided are somehow Kosher for what was and has been up until now a perfectly usable and not bipolar disorder-triggering mess of aggravation. I don't know why trillion-dollar hypercorporations feel this insatiable desire to enshittify their products, I really don't. Don't y'all know that your customers made you who you are? And aren't you aware that, if WE, YOUR CUSTOMERS, all walk out on you, YOU CEASE TO EXIST AS A CORPORATION?! Please revert, or give me the means to revert, the UI back to the version it was just before this recent "upgrade". Thanks.

ADDING A BLOCK SENDER OPTION IS WORTHLESS IF YOU DON'T MAKE THE BLOCKING UNLIMITED. THIS IS THE RESPONSE I GET EVERY TIME I TRY TO BLOCK.
FIX IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The current AOL email system is difficult to navigate, does not allow for the USER to erase the message (it just erases ALL messages), the screen is not a clear representation of the mail (being hard to navigate, it's often impossible to read) and, in essence, the NEW system is NOT USER friendly. Please return MY AOL e-mail to the original system and fromat.
