An error occurred while saving the comment Mister G. commentedAOL, I have to agree with this above comment! If the intent was to reduce the load on the servers - this has certainly succeeded! But, with no explanation of what it will take to allow the public to play these games - that's a losing proposition any way you look at it. I've yet to see whether bypassing the black, Masque Publishing screen requires a, "membership" or not. I see no reference to it [currently] on the Web site. Was this the real intent? Do the decision makers understand English?

An error occurred while saving the comment Mister G. commentedIt is unknown whether this poster can even get in to the Gin Rummy game. In the case of the Super Crazy Eights game - you can't! You can bring up the screen that shows the players and pre-existing games, but if you try to join -OR- initiate a new game, you get the full black, Masque Publishing screen that won't advance, In fact, there's no way to bypass it. I see on another post here that one of the posters is a paying member of AOL. That individual is ALSO advising that they can't get past the Masque Publishing screen either. IF that's the case, that brings in to question what the REAL intent actually is here. Thus, both the public and a paying member [apaprently] can't bypass the black Masque Publishing screen on certain games... Are they premium games? If so, where is that stated on AOL's Web site ??

An error occurred while saving the comment Mister G. commentedAOL, this post above from a PAYING member is truly disconcerting! IF a paying member can't even play these games that are literally blocked by the black, Masque Publishing screen, how can anyone? I used to immensely enjoy playing Super Crazy Eights game on AOL, now, I get the black, Masque Publishing screen that [apparently] can't be bypassed. Is this the real intent of AOL? This is certainly not a winning strategy any way you look at it IF that's the case. Hopefully, the decision makers understand enough English to comprehend this.

An error occurred while saving the comment Mister G. commentedApparently, also on the Super Crazy Eights game. Is this the intent of AOL? Does this now require a "membership" to play these multi-player, online strategy games? IF SO, where is it stated on AOL's Web site? Is there a means to allow the online users to play these games. I.E. get PAST the Masque Publishing black screen that doesn't advance - just freezes with no way [currently] to bypass it.
